  • I can personally attest to the invaluable contribution this book has made to the history of modern cosmology as well as Church history as it discerns and explains cosmological and historical truths as seen through the eyes of truth, i.e. through the eyes of traditional Catholicism. I have placed it here at this time in tribute to Cassini who quite recently disclosed his diagnosis of a greatly debilitating disease.  See Bad news for Cassini - page 1 - Catholic Living in the Modern World - Catholic Info

Cassini, under the pen name James Redmond O'Hanlon (a most interesting choice as you will see if you look up Redmond O'Hanlon!), is the self-disclosed author of this most incredible work, The Earthmovers which is the subject of perhaps one of the longest and most viewed threads on CathInfo as seen at THE EARTHMOVERS - page 1 - Fighting Errors in the Modern World - Catholic Info.  May, God willing, this work stand the test of time and grow in significance and influence, especially as an attraction to the traditional Catholic Faith.

One of the greatest obstacles to the restoration of the Faith is the difficulty of identifying and eradicating the roots of the revolution against it.  In his monumental work The Earthmovers, author James Redmond O’Hanlon exposes the roots of the revolution in the rejection of God’s Revelation regarding the position of the Earth in the universe and in the failure of the Church leadership to continue the courageous efforts of their predecessors to defend that Revelation, beginning as early as the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.  In spite of the widespread belief that heliocentrism was eventually “proven” by advances in astronomy, O’Hanlon shows that the champions of the heliocentric hypothesis have never provided proof beyond a reasonable doubt for their model of the solar system and that the Neo-Tychonic geocentric-geostatic model of the universe continues to explain all of the experimental and observational evidence better than any of the competing models.  The Earthmovers shows that the failure of the Church leadership to defend God’s Word in regard to the Earth’s position in the cosmos as it had been understood in the Church from the beginning paved the way for the modernist revolution against the traditional faith and practice of the Church by exalting fallible human science above divine science, an error which the Angelic Doctor identifies as “the source of all heresy.”

  • Thanks Mat123.  The edition you referred to has been edited but not published yet.

I have written a mini version of the effect the Galileo case has had on churchmen, a 50 page edition
    and having it printed up.

Here are the first two pages.

‘The heaven is My throne, and the Earth a footstool for My feet.
What house will you build Me says the Lord,
or what shall be the place of My resting?’ (Acts 7:49)

Here above, in Holy Scripture, we find the Lord God, using the analogy of the fixed Earth of the Holy Bible as His footstool, asking what kind of Church will mankind build Him on His place of resting, the Earth. So, two-thousand years later, let us recall what happened, and see where His ‘footstool’ is today.

On the eve of the Amazon Synod held on October, 5th 2019, 10 Catholic lay leaders warned of the revolutionary designs against the Catholic faith from inside and outside the Catholic Church. Hosted by the pro-life group, Voice of the Family, the discussion, titled “Our Church, Reformed or Deformed,” featured a number of Catholic men active in trying to preserve what is left of the traditional Catholic faith on Earth in our time. One speaker summarised when and how this modern ‘reformation’ began in the Catholic Church:

‘Satan uniquely entered the Catholic Church at some point over the last century, or even before. For over a century, the organizers of Fɾҽҽmαsσɳɾყ, Liberalism, and Modernism infiltrated the Catholic Church in order to change her doctrine, her liturgy and her mission from something supernatural to something secular.’--- (Taylor Marshall, LifeSiteNews, October 4, 2019.)

So, what happened in the last century or before that gave birth to Modernism in the Catholic Church by way of ‘Satan’ introducing changes from the traditional supernatural doctrine of Catholicism to a faith based on the secular that led to the demise of traditional Catholic faith on Earth? Well, from 1757 to 1835 and thereafter, for the first time in the history of the Church, popes began to adopt and promote a secular story of Creation rather than abide by the supernatural one of traditional Catholicism. In Scripture, it literally states in many places, that the sun (and stars) turn around God’s footstool, the Earth, created fixed at the centre of the universe (geocentrism), a revelation held by all the Fathers and popes of the Church up to that time. Accordingly, the early Church had condemned as heresy the old pagan belief that the Earth moves around a fixed-sun (heliocentrism). This 1820 Biblical U-turn by popes, was based on their delusion heliocentrism was proven by Isaac Newton, Stellar Aberration, Stellar Parallax and Leon Foucault’s pendulum. This was the same Biblical meaning proposed by Galileo who claimed that the references to a moving-sun in Scripture were metaphors, not literal, an assertion rejected by Pope Paul V in 1616, with Galileo being tried later in 1633 by Pope Urban VIII’s Inquisition, at which he was found guilty of suspected heresy. It was this change of Biblical meaning that began the revision of Church doctrine, her liturgy and her mission from something supernatural to something secular.

Quote: ‘As a result of the collapse of geocentrism, which the Church has come to accept, she is now caught between her historic-dogmatic representation of the world’s origin, on the one hand, and the requirements of her most fundamental dogmas on the other, so that she cannot retain the former without to some degree sacrificing the latter… In earlier times until Galileo, there was perfect compatibility between historical representation and the Fall and dogmas of universal Redemption, and all the more easily too, in that each was modelled on the other… Today we know with certainty that the stellar universe is not centred on the Earth, and that terrestrial life is not centred on mankind.’----Fr Teilhard de Chardin SJ. Christianity and Evolution, Collins, 1971, p. 36.

Throughout its history, the Catholic faith has warned its flock that Satan is the ‘Father of lies,’ capable even of fooling the elect (Matt. 24:24), those men who preside over the running of the Catholic Church. According to Genesis, Satan had successfully tempted Adam and Eve, the first two human beings, with the promise if they ignored God’s order not to eat the forbidden fruit, then they would gain more knowledge than that given to them by God. The consequences of this Original Sin brought suffering and death to all humanity thereafter. The Devil obviously knew if that lie worked with Adam and Eve, why wouldn’t the very same lie work with their weakened descendants? So, let us begin with the first most important Catholic doctrine to be eliminated by Satan’s deceit, ‘Who made the world?’ The supernatural answer, ‘God made the world,’ an act of faith both dogmatised by Councils and inserted in prayer:

‘God…Creator of all visible and invisible things, of the spiritual and of the corporal; who by His own omnipotent power at once from the beginning of time created each creature from nothing, spiritual and corporal, namely, angelic and mundane, and finally the human, both of the spirit and the body.’ (Lateran Council IV, 1215).

‘All that exists outside God was, in its whole substance, produced out of nothing by God. (De fide.) (Vatican Council I, 1870)

‘I believe in one God, the Father almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth,
and of all things visible and invisible.’—(Nicene Creed)

The Book of Genesis, written by Moses around the 5th century before Christ, under the auspices of the Holy Ghost, reveals that God created all, in its whole substance, over six days, 4,000 years before Christ was born. ‘Substance,’ we know from classic philosophy, means ‘what something is,’ finished, and not journeying to what something can become or will become.

Day 7: So the heavens and the Earth were finished, and all the furniture of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made: and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done.--- The Book of Genesis.

  • next few pages of MINI TE.

St Augustine proposed all things were created instantly, but described in Genesis as over six days. Either way, both understandings confirm an immediate finished Creation of all. This dogma of supernatural Creation was then recorded in Catholic theology, metaphysics and art. Saint Thomas Aquinas, who from 1265-1273 compiled Summa theologiae, a compendium of theology to explain the Catholic faith among the flock, on Creation wrote:

‘That the world began to exist is an object of faith, but not of demonstration or science. And it is useful to consider this, lest anyone, presuming to demonstrate what is of faith, should bring forward reasons that are not cogent, so as to give occasion to unbelievers to laugh, thinking that on such grounds we believe things that are of faith.’--- St. Thomas Aquinas, (Summa theologiae I.46.2)

Nevertheless, a ‘scientifically proven’ secular evolved story of origins, never finished, has been long held by popes and most clergy. In 1951, Pope Pius XII proposed a Big Bang of 13.7 billion years ago was God’s creative act as we will see. Next to be eliminated was the first dogma of the Catholic faith in Ludwig Ott’s book Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma. It states ‘God, our Creator and Lord, can be known with certainty by the natural light of reason from created things.’ According to a ‘scientific’ story of origins that doesn’t need a Creator now taught worldwide, this dogma is also long redundant. The certainty in God’s Creation, St Thomas taught, was recognising the ‘good and finished’ perfect order of all things on Earth and in the sky. We see on the Earth’s lands and in the seas, God provided every need for living creatures and mankind to survive as long as He intends, from their perfect life-forms, their environment and foods, one depending on the other, even the materials and minerals needed for human existence on Earth. We also see in the sky the sun and stars turning endlessly around the Earth bringing day and night and the seasons in perfect perpetual order. Later, when astronomers had saved the appearance of the planets as seen from the Earth and illustrated some of these movements, did man further observe more certainties of God in the heavens

Seen accordingly above by mankind, with the Earth at rest in the centre, our spiritual intellect saw that our central place in the universe confirms with certainty a divine cause for such distinctiveness. Once such belief in God was attained through human reasoning, then mankind would be more favourable to the revelations and prophesies the Triune God prepared for our redemption; those recorded in the Old and New Testaments. To all this we can add:

‘God created the Earth [at rest] conjointly with the heavens in order to call into existence Hell in its centre; for, at the instant of its creation there were left in the interior of that globe spacious and wide cavities, suitable for Hell, Purgatory and Limbo.’--- Mary of Agreda: The Mystical City of God.’

‘Now that He ascended, what is it, but because He also descended
first into the lower parts of the earth.’ (St Paul Eph., Ch.4:9)

‘The last is natural reason. There is no doubt that it is indeed reasonable that the place of devils and wicked damned men should be as far as possible from the place where God, angels and blessed saints will be forever, the abode of the blessed (as our adversaries agree) in heaven, and no place further removed from heaven than [Hell at] the centre of the Earth.’--- paraphrase attributed to St Thomas Aquinas.

Is it any wonder then that a sacred doctrine of geocentrism with its inherent human-centred anthropocentrism was developed within Catholicism.

‘This doctrine [of geocentrism] was of the highest respectability: it had been developed at a very early period, and had been elaborated until it accounted well for the apparent movements of the heavenly bodies. Saint Clement of Alexandria (150-215AD) demonstrated that the altar in the Jєωιѕн tabernacle was “a symbol of the Earth placed in the middle of the universe.” Wrought into this foundation, and based upon it, there was developed in the Middle Ages, mainly out of fragments of Chaldean and other early theories preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures, a new sacred system of astronomy, which became one of the great treasures of the universal Church – the last word of revelation. Three great men mainly reared this structure. First was the unknown who gave to the world the treatises ascribed to Dionysius the Areopagite (1st cen. AD). It was unhesitatingly believed that these were the work of St Paul’s Athenian convert, and therefore virtually of St Paul himself.….The next of these three great theologians was Archbishop Peter Lombard, Professor at the University of Paris. About the middle of the twelfth century, he gave forth his collection of Sentences, or statements by the Fathers, and this remained until the end of the Middle Ages the universal manual of theology. The great triad of thinkers culminated in St Thomas Aquinas – the sainted theologian, the glory of the medieval Church, the ‘Angelic Doctor,’ Large of mind, strong, acute, yet just to his opponents, he gave forth, in the latter half of the thirteenth century, his Cyclopaedia of Theology, the Summa Theologica. In this St Thomas carried the sacred theory of the universe to its full development. With great power and clearness, he brought the whole vast system, material and spiritual, into its relations to God and man….To attack it was blasphemy. It stood for centuries. Great theological men of science like Vincent of Beauvais (1184-1264) and Cardinal Pierre d’Ailly (1351-1420) devoted themselves to showing not only that it was supported by Scripture, but also that it supported Scripture. Thus was the geocentric theory embedded in the beliefs and aspirations, in the hopes and fears of Christendom down to the middle of the sixteenth century.’--- Written by the anti-Catholic Andrew White: A History of the Warfare of Science with Theology in Christendom, 1896, pp.116-120.

Now if there is a devil called Satan, determined to eliminate God from the minds of mankind, surely the fact that humans were created on Earth at the centre of the universe had to be the first ‘natural light of reason from created things’ that had to be taken from our reasoning. So, before Christ was born, Satan had planted such a lie among pagans, while adding many associated deceits to further remove the need for a supernatural God Creator from the senses and minds of mankind, delusions like the world evolved naturally from atoms, that the universe is infinite, that the Earth rotates and orbits sun, and that there are many other worlds with intelligent creatures living on them. We see then, Satan laid down for Adam and Eve’s descendants what became for us the ‘science’ of origins, i.e., nothing more than mind-delusions conjured up to eliminate God as Creator of the universe and all on Earth. When the Church of Christ was founded, it condemned all these beliefs as heresies and false philosophies, a fact confirmed by the anti-geocentrist Prof. A. A. Martinez.

‘Our present book traces the development of ancient Pythagorean beliefs about religion, astronomy and their interconnection, explaining how early Christian Church Fathers condemned such beliefs….Saint Hippolytus (150-236AD) of Rome criticised the “alliance between heresy and the Pythagorean philosophy” and he denounced the “enormous and endless heresies” of the “disciples not of Christ, but of Pythagoras.”…I will show how the cult of Pythagoras became notorious for anti-Christian beliefs, polytheism, the transmigration of souls, divination, the plurality and eternity of worlds, and denials of the uniqueness and divinity of Jesus.’--Prof. A. A. Martinez: Pythagoras or Christ, Independent Publishing, 2014.

Then there were the Gnostics, one of the earliest Jєωιѕн and ‘Christian’ communities who taught many false tenets about the faith, who in the 2nd century after Christ, insisted Genesis must not be read literally and claimed to have access to ‘secret knowledge’ about God and the true origin and nature of the universe and mankind. Then, after many years of condemnation and cleansing of Gnosticism begun by Bishop Irenaeus (130-203AD), in order to preserve their pagan beliefs from total elimination by the Roman Church, the Gnostics, and other early heretics like the Hermetics, recorded them in books hidden away, awaiting a time when man would be open to their tenets again.

On May 29, 1453, the ancient city of Byzantium fell to the Ottoman Turks. Its libraries were raided and some of these books became available for the first time in a thousand years. Soon after, an assortment of these docuмents were bought by the wealthy Medici family and taken back to Italy.

‘In 1460… a Tuscan monk rode unobtrusively into Florence on a donkey. Attached to his side was a bundle of cloth in which a small collection of books had been packed. Leonardo da Pistoia who had travelled a long way, took his precious cargo directly to the Doge of Florence, Cosimo de’ Medici (1389-1464). An intellectual [and doctrinal] nuclear bomb was about to explode.’--- (Hancock & Bauval. Talisman, Penguin Books, 2004.)

I am putting a copy of the mini version up on this thread. I can continue if required. The mini version deals with the damage done to the Catholic faith since 1820. It will of course shock any traditional Catholic, but the Bible says the truth will out. I can send a mini PDF to you but only by way of private message available on CIF.

The larger TE is being edited by me to remove some unnecessary or repeated information. It covers and corrects the science involved as well as the effects heliocentrism has had on Catholic Biblical exegesis and hermeneutics as well as promoting agnosticism and atheism in millions since Galileo's time. Some time ago A friend posted TE on CIF with comments from members as it progressed. Go into CIF search to find it.

  • I was moved by this weeks Kolbe Center newsletter, where a priest in Australia just discovered the truth about the 6-day creation. He admitted the Creation theology has long been abandoned in the Church, and with it the supernatural.

Below is the Kolbe Center newsletter which cassini is referring to.  The part in bold is the testimony from the priest in Australia.

The Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation
A Catholic apostolate dedicated to proclaiming the truth about the origins of man & the universe
952 Kelly Rd., Mt. Jackson, VA 22842
    Tel: 540-856-8453 E-Mail: director@kolbecenter.org
"For me You have created the skies scattered with stars...and all the beautiful things on earth."
    St. Maximilian Kolbe
Dear Friends of the Kolbe Center,
    Glory to Jesus Christ!
It is fitting that I am writing this letter to you just a few days before the beginning of the ecclesiastical year, according to the Byzantine Catholic liturgical tradition which perpetuates the ancient Jєωιѕн practice of commemorating the creation of the world in September. As Archimandrite Job Getcha explains in The Typikon Decoded:
The ecclesiastical year begins on September 1. This is an ancient Constantinopolitan custom. In ancient times, the year in Constantinople began on September 23. This date marked, from its institution by the Emperor Constantine (in 313), the beginning of the indiction, i.e., the establishment of the annual land tax. This date was chosen because it commemorated the birth of Augustus which, already before Constantine, marked the beginning of the year in a large part of the Orient. With the adoption of the Roman calendar in Constantinople and the suppression of the cult of Augustus, September 23 was stripped of all civil significance. As a result, the beginning of the indiction was shifted to a more convenient date, September 1. It is estimated that this change was made on September 1, 1462.
As the website of the New Liturgical Movement further explains:
In the Byzantine tradition . . . the Creation of the world is considered to have taken place on the Indiction, a fact to which the liturgical texts of the day refer repeatedly. For example, the tropar at the Divine Liturgy reads as follows:
Maker of all creation, Who settest times and seasons in Thy power, bless the crown of the year of Thy goodness, o Lord, keeping in peace Thy kings and Thy city, by the prayers of the Mother of God, and save us.
    And likewise these two kontakia:
Maker and Master of the ages, God of all things, and truly greater than all, bless this year, saving in Thy boundless mercy, o Compassionate One, all that serve Thee, the only Master, and cry out in reverence: o Redeemer, grant a bountiful year to all.
O Thou that created all things in unspoken wisdom, and settest the seasons in Thy power, grant victory to Thy people that loveth Christ, blessing the going and coming of the year, and guiding our works towards Thy will.
The New Liturgical Movement website notes that the liturgical tradition in the West developed differently and that medieval liturgical calendars frequently marked March 18, close to the beginning of spring, as the beginning of Creation:
Theologically, this indicates that the old Creation was completed on the same day that its renewal began in the Incarnation, and for the same reason, many calendars mark the Passion of Christ on that day, with the Resurrection on the 27th, even though the liturgical celebration of these events is movable.
Scoffers might argue that these liturgical traditions are in contradiction, but a good case can be made that they are complementary, like the various images of the Holy Face of Our Lord Jesus Christ that have received some kind of Church sanction. One could argue that the liturgical celebration of creation at the threshold of spring highlights the “new creation” in Christ through the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, while the Byzantine celebration of creation at the threshold of autumn highlights what St. Thomas Aquinas calls “the first perfection of the universe” which he defines in the Summa Theologica as “the completeness the world at its first founding.” In other words, the “season of mists and mellow fruitfulness” speaks to the fact that God created a fully-functioning universe for man in the six days of fiat creation, not a world evolving towards completeness through a slow and leisurely natural process. This interpretation finds support in the ancient calendar of the Sarum Missal for March which places the celebration of Noah’s Entrance into the Ark on March 17, just one day before the beginning of Creation, and ten days before the Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord on the 27th of March. These feasts speak to “new creations,” beginning with Noah’s Flood when, according to St. Peter, our first Pope, “the world that then was perished in the Flood,” so that the world that emerged from the Flood waters was truly a “new creation.”
The First Perfection of the Universe and the Blessed Virgin Mary
In previous newsletters and publications, we have explained how great Saints, like St. Bridget of Sweden, saw in the beauty and perfection of the first created world on the First Saturday of creation a foreshadowing of the beauty and perfection of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The website Byzantinela.com explains how the sacred liturgy confirms this identification by corresponding with the life of the Holy Theotokos.
We commemorate the birth of the Theotokos on Sept. 8th, and her death on August 15th, so the year begins just before her birth and ends just after her death. In this way, the Theotokos is revealed as a guide. In many icons she is seen pointing at her Son, Our Lord, in a gesture of guidance. Since liturgical time is also guided by her life, we trust Her to be a worthy guide to and within the life of faith in Our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ.
As we approach the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Kolbe Center on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in the Jubilee Year 2000, we would like to pray a special novena to St. Joseph the Most Chaste Spouse of Our Lady, in thanksgiving for all of the blessings that Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother have poured out upon the Kolbe Center since Our Lord created us “from nothing” almost 25 years ago, and to ask for the spiritual and material support that we need to complete our mission. We will begin the Novena to St. Joseph today, Saturday, August 30, and end it on the morning of Monday, September 7, the vigil of the Nativity of Our Lady. Then we will begin the Novena to Our Lady of Sorrows on the evening of Monday, September 7, the vigil of the Feast of Our Lady’s Nativity and end it on Tuesday, September 15, the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows.
“Give Unto the Lord the Glory Due His Name”
From the beginning of our apostolate our primary motive has been to “give unto the Lord the glory due His Name.” After experiencing in our own lives the transformative power of believing in the true Catholic doctrine of creation as the foundation of our Faith and as the only firm foundation for an intimate relationship with Our Lord, we have proclaimed that truth wherever we could find an open door. To that end, we have embraced the Franciscan spirit of our secondary patron, St. Maximilian Kolbe, so that we could reach as many souls as possible—as quickly as possible. Thus, we have always offered our books and materials on a “suggested donation” basis. When we travel, we ask to stay in rectories or homes, rather than in hotels. We have accepted invitations to go to every continent except Antarctica, often without even being offered reimbursement for our travel expenses. We offer our materials at no cost to bishops, priests and laity in poor circuмstances; and the testimonies we receive from clergy and laity all over the world confirm that Our Lord and the Blessed Mother are granting tremendous graces to those who study our materials and embrace the traditional Catholic doctrine of creation. For example, a priest in a remote parish in Australia sent us this testimony:
I would like to thank the Kolbe Center for making available the live streaming of Foundations Restored. While I’m extremely grateful for your generosity, I am in absolute awe of what you and your collaborators have been able to produce. I have watched every minute of it. Words escape me!
I was talking to a friend about it and said, without realizing the significance of my words immediately, that I had realized I had been in a war, and that I was quite wounded, but I hadn’t realized until now, that I had actually been a prisoner of war. Only after being released did I start to understand the full extent of the situation. It seemed the best description I could come up with to explain to him how I felt. A few moments later I realized just who is your patron saint. I was left a bit breathless. St Maximilian Kolbe is now entrenched in my prayer life!
I have been a priest for nearly 25 years and before that a nurse and scientist (I have a PhD in reproductive physiology). Hence, I’m not a spring chicken. Never did I hear an interpretation of Genesis that the earth was the centre of the universe. Obviously, I wouldn’t have at school or university but I don’t even recall us ever studying Genesis and creation in the seminary (surprise, surprise). Even reading commentaries didn’t hint at the possibility. Your docuмentary of Day One changed my whole way of thinking immediately. I don’t think anything has had such an immediate and transforming impact on me. It just made perfect sense! Deep in my being it was like a light being switched on. Now seeing the earth as the altar at the centre of the universe everything seems so much clearer. As mentioned, it has certainly helped my prayer life. My gratitude is impossible to express. It even cleared up the lingering doubts about the age of the earth that seemed so hard to sort out. If I ever believed in evolution as such, it was only very briefly, if at all, as it never sat right. However, the extended time frame for creation and old universe that has been the ruling scenario was hard to deal with so I always put it in the ‘too hard’ basket. I feel that I’m free and happy now, the truth certainly sets us free!
Can you imagine what a transformation would take place if every young Catholic, including every future seminarian, were given the opportunity to view and study our DVD series “Foundations Restored” and “How the World Was Made in Six Days”?
    Priorities For 2026
As we complete our first quarter century as an apostolate, with the help of your prayers and financial support we want to ensure that every young Catholic has the opportunity to hear at least one good defense of the true Catholic doctrine of creation in his or her formative years. To that end, we would like to invite every one of our readers to join us in praying a powerful Novena to St. Joseph, that he will obtain the spiritual and financial support that we need to achieve this goal. Then we will pray a novena to Our Lady for this intention, beginning on the Feast of her Nativity and ending on the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, asking Her to help us to raise $100,000 through a Give Send Go fundraiser.
Among our top priorities for 2026 are the following:
To establish a leadership team and a network to reach millions of Spanish-speaking Catholics
To complete and publish a greatly revised and expanded version of Pamela Acker’s monumental book on vaccination
To complete the rest of the DVD series “How the World Was Made in Six Days”
To prepare for an orderly transition to new leadership so that after I retire at the appropriate time the Kolbe Center will be able continue its work without interruption until the advent of the Era of Peace and the complete restoration of the Church promised by Our Lady of Fatima
To complete and publish books, articles, and presentations that fill in any remaining gaps in our defense of the traditional reading of the sacred history of Genesis
Complete the English translation of Cornelius a Lapide's Commentary on Genesis 1-11
Complete the English translation of St. Lawrence of Brindisi's Commentary on Genesis 1-11
Finish the second half of Maria Owen's Latin Course, along with a Teacher's Guide and audio files for correct pronunciation.
St. Joseph and the Christ Child (Cuzco School, c. 17th century)
A Powerful Novena to Saint Joseph
(Today, August 30, to the morning of Monday, September 7, the vigil of the Nativity of Our Lady)
To achieve these goals by God’s grace, we invite you to join us in praying a powerful novena to St. Joseph. This novena was originally devised by the celebrated Fr. Louis Lallemant, S. J. [1587-1633], at the very time when Rene’ Descartes, having received an outstanding Jesuit education, abandoned the devout practice of the Faith, dabbled in the occult, and developed the false system of naturalism that St. Maximilian identified as the “wound” of the twentieth century. In a biography of this saintly priest, we learn that St. Joseph never refused him anything that he asked. On one occasion Fr. Lallemant urged two young priests to make this novena, promising that they would obtain everything they asked through the intercession of St. Joseph if, in turn, they would show him special honor and spread devotion to him. Both did as Fr. Lallemant suggested, and one of them asked for the grace to speak and write worthily of Our Lord. The next day he came to Fr. Lallemant to tell him that, upon reflection, he wished to ask for a different grace, which he considered more conducive to his perfection. Fr. Lallemant replied, "It is too late now to ask for another grace. The first one has already been granted." And, indeed, this grace was conspicuously displayed throughout the whole course of the priest's life, as he became one of the most noted preachers and writers of his day.
    HOW TO MAKE THIS NOVENA
NO PARTICULAR PRAYERS NEED BE SAID FOR THIS NOVENA.
EVERY DAY FOR NINE DAYS, TURN TO ST. JOSEPH IN SPIRIT FOUR TIMES (CALLED A "VISIT")
DURING THE DAY AND HONOR HIM IN THE FOLLOWING FOUR POINTS:
    1. During the first visit, consider ST. JOSEPH'S FIDELITY TO GRACE.
Reflect upon the action of the Holy Ghost in his soul. At the conclusion of this brief meditation, thank God for so honoring St. Joseph, and ask, through his intercession for a similar grace.
    2. Later in the day, consider ST. JOSEPH'S FIDELITY TO THE INTERIOR LIFE. Study his spirit of recollection. Think, thank God, and ask.
    3. Later still, consider ST. JOSEPH'S LOVE FOR OUR LADY. Think, thank God, and ask.
    4. Finally, in a fourth visit, reflect upon ST. JOSEPH'S LOVE FOR THE DIVINE CHILD. Think, thank God, and ask.
PRAYER WHICH MAY BE SAID AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE VISITS EACH DAY
O MY GOD, I thank Thee and bless Thee for St. Joseph's great faithfulness to grace. Grant that, through his loving intercession and the power of his example. I too may be faithful to grace. O St. Joseph, intercede for me, and obtain for me this favor I ask. [Name your request.]
O MY GOD, I thank Thee and bless Thee for St. Joseph's great faithfulness to the interior life. Grant that, through his loving intercession and the power of his example. I too may be faithful to the interior life. O St. Joseph, intercede for me, and obtain for me this favor I ask. [Name your request.]
O MY GOD, I thank Thee and bless Thee for St. Joseph's great love of Our Lady. Grant that, through his loving intercession and the power of his example. I too may truly love the Blessed Virgin Mary. O St. Joseph, intercede for me, and obtain for me this favor I ask. [Name your request.]
O MY GOD, I thank Thee and bless Thee for St. Joseph's great love for the Divine Child. Grant that, through his loving intercession and the power of his example. I too may truly love the Child Jesus. O St. Joseph, intercede for me, and obtain for me this favor I ask. [Name your request.]
Through the prayers of the Mother of God, of St. Joseph, and of all the Saints, may the Holy Ghost guide us all into all the Truth!
    In Domino,
    Hugh Owen
P.S. If you would like to be included in a daily email reminder for the novena to St. Joseph, please email me at howen@shentel.net.
P.P.S. The Novena to Our Lady of Sorrows will begin on the evening of Monday, September 7, the vigil of the Feast of Our Lady’s Nativity, and end on Tuesday, September 15, the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows.

  • I do owe you a great debt of gratitude, cassini ... for all the great work you've done on this subject.  I'll always be grateful.

I realized at a young age, as the Jesuits attempted to corrupt my own mind with their heresies, how their attacks on Sacred Scripture caused so many of the young men in my class (Jesuit boys' school) to lose their faith.

I spent many years on the offensive against them, but didn't truly understand the root causes of their heresy.

That is why I give no quarter whatsoever, zero, zilch, nada ... to the heresy of Father Paul Robinson.  See, at least with the Jesuits, they didn't disguise themselves.  They'd officiate at clown "Masses", would never be caught dead in clerical dress, would dance on park benches during outdoor "Masses" during which wicker baskets with "communion" were passed around so that probably 50% of it was left on the lawn ... etc. etc. etc.  That way, anyone with even a modicuм of faith would see through them as not being representatives of the True Faith.  THAT is why it's so much worse what Fr. Robinson is doing.  He goes out there smelling like fragrant incense, accompanied by the ringing of bells, wearing a Roman collar, and pronouncing / chanting Latin phrases ... and so the faithful who hear him spouting off denying the inerrancy of Sacred Scripture can easily be caused great confusion in their faith.  "Well, if a Traditional priest says it, it must be OK, right?"  No, I submit that Robinson is a FAR GREATER danger to the faith than the absurdly transparent Jesuits, for this reason.  If you don't disguise the bitter poison in a spoonful of sugar, very few would ingest it.  But bury it under a huge mount of sugar where you can barely detect its flavor ... and it will kill far more than the straight poison ever could.  It's why Ratzinger was a great danger to the faith, while Bergoglio inadvertently served it.  If a wolve prances in to the sheepfold undisguished, they immediately recognize it and beging to take evasive action and alerting others.  "Look, flaming at the mouth heretic rainbow-flag-wearing limp-wristed atheistic Jesuit says ... "  In point of fact, even if said Jesuit were to say something true, you would suspect even that, just because of who he is.  Now, "SSPX superior, whose book was endorsed by SSPX, often a public spokesman for SSPX, does great Gregorian chant and man does he know how to pick the right scent of incense, he says ..." Which is more dangerous.

Robinson need to be called out and called out forcefully.  Nor is there any question whatsoever that he's teaching heresy.  If I notice that, "hey, wait a minute, that sheep there, I can see a gap under his arm, and there's some brown fur that looks a lot like that of a wolf ...", I am under obligation to start shouting "Wolf!" from the housetops.

Oh, not only does Robinson teach his heresy, by he has the heretical temerity to deride those faithful who with the same childlike simplicity that the early Christians and Church Fathers had, simply accept what Sacred Scripture teaches, since it was authored by the Holy Ghost, and who attribute inerrancy to Sacred Scripture, since God cannot be the authorr of error, as per the unanimous interpretation of the Church Fathers ... he derides such faithful as "Biblicists", turning the virtue of revernece for the divinely inspired Word of God to some kind of vice and (blasphemously) using it as a term of derision.

We have even conversative Novus Ordo types, Kolbe Center, many FSSP, to say nothing of myriad Prots, who would denounce Robinson as a heretic ... and that says volumes about where the neo-SSPX have gone.  "Quo vadis, Fellay?"  Not only did Robinson put this heresy out there in writing, but the SSPX fully endorsed that garbage, and keep putting Robinson in highly-visible roles, and as a superior.  I suspect he's got the inside track for the next US District Superior, and possibly even a bishop, when the time comes.

Robinson's book belongs near the top of a new Index of Forbidden Books.

Robinson's reasoning?  He says it's because a global flood is scientifically "impossible".  Of course, that's heretical in and of itself, since I seem to have heard somewhere that "with God all things are possible".  It's also embarrassing and shameful for him to put more credence in modern science than in Sacred Scripture.  AND, what's REALLY embarrassing, I've watched a fair number of MAINSTREAM sources compiling significant evidence of a massive WORLDWIDE flood even, all around the same time.  What, wouldn't that be embarrassing for Robinson, where the very science on whose altar he sacrificed Sacred Scripture would betray him and make him the fool, and he would have been a heretic for no particular reason.

Robinson also endorses "uniformitarianism" (thoroughly debunked by Kolbe Center and others), which had been invented by Lyell, bosom buddy and penpal of Darwin, and in correspondence between the two, they admit to one another that a lot of their stuff is preposterous, garbage ... but that they don't care so long as they can use it to undermine Sacred Scripture.

THESE are the types with whom Robinson has cast in his lot, while joining them in their derision of faithful Catholics who prefer the Inspired Word of God to the ramblings of atheists.

SO MUCH do the neo-SSPX labor under this desperate (embarrassingly desperate) need for "respectability", of being "accepted" by the world, by the mainstream ... that they have the blood of not a few who took the jab on their hands, and most recently they betrayed the faith by taking pride in being welcomed by the Vatican that is, as we speak, welcoming the sodomite parade during the Jubilee year.

Didn't Our Lord say that the world would hate us, just as it hated Him?  If they don't hate you, SSPX, and if the Modernists don't hate you ... then you've lost your way.

  • Earthmovers is the only treatment of Cosmology that a) unequivocally upholds Church teaching, b) thoroughly thwarts Newtonian and Einsteinian pseudo-science, and c) brings the diabolical, cabalistic esotericism of the heliocentric-relativist paradigm into the light.

I agree.  It should be required reading at Traditional Catholic schools.  I'm a Flat Earther, of course, and have disagreed with cassini on that matter, but I consider that a disagreement among friends ... and long thought that of Dr. Sungenis and Kolbe Institute, but then in a recent video they attacked and listed Flat Earthers, in their list of those who are in error, RIGHT ALONGSIDE the Modernist heretics who deny the inenerrancy of Sacred Scripture.  I've always respected it when Sungenis at least TRIED to come up with an interpretation of Sacred Scripture that took it for granted that Genesis was literally, historically, scientifically, and factually true and accurate.  I disagreed with his interpretation, but we shared the same fundamental principles ... or so I thought.  But then when FEs are listed alongside the heretics who reject the inerrancy of Sacred Scripture, it makes me wonder what their fundamental principles really are.  They couldn't at least differentiate between the material error (so they thought) of the FEs and the formal error (heresy) of the Modernists?

It's so funny. One day fairly early in my trad conversion, I was reading, I think, The Remnant. They were featuring, surprisingly, a massive multi-part series by Robert Sungenis (whose name I remembered from my EWTN days) on Geocentrism.

It had the "road to Emmaus" effect on me. Oh, how my heart burned as Sungenis opened up the truth about the Galileo affair to my ardently Catholic soul!

Of course, I bought his two GWW books as soon as they were available, hoping to immerse myself in all this glorious truth. The first GWW was the material science volume. Immediately I was put off by the reliance on Newton and Einstein. WHAT???? I put Sungenis down, and never picked him back up again, though I will always give him the credit for first awakening me to this splendid truth.

Happily, I knew Paula Haigh (RIP), who wrote wonderfully on the subject in her own right, but who was also a longtime friend and correspondent of our friend Cassini here. She introduced me both to him, and to his Earthmovers.

Now here was a treatment of the subject that not only never violated my sensus catolicus, but filled every dark corner of the conspiracy with blazing light.

Earthmovers is a most worthy work which will go on increasing, even if its esteemed author must needs materially decrease.

The entire church owes Friend Cassini Her gratitude, and, indeed, She will render his service to Her praise, in God's good time. Amen.
