This is the sermon I want the Priest or deacon to preach on the occasion of my Requiem Mass: the exceedingly consoling sermon that St. Bernard preached upon the deceitfulness and brevity of the present life, selected from the Sermones de diversis as found in the tome St. Bernard's Sermons for the Seasons & Principal Festivals of the Year: Translated from the Original Latin by a Priest of Mount Melleray, (Vol. III.; Westminster, MD: The Carroll Press, 1950).

Great sermon, thank you for sharing , Hobbledehoy. St. Bernard was a saint among saints... St. Alphonsus Liguori is another great one for sermons/writings on death and the purpose of life, that comes to mind.
