Do Sacramentals + Holy Water help Catechumens to ward off sin? And is it ok for a Catechumen to use Holy Water to remove venial sins?

Interesting questions...  I am not sure about the answers.  Bumping for others to comment.

If nothing else, Holy Water would likely help a catechumen to be more steadfast and persevering until his baptism I think?

A catechumen couldn't remit venial sin with Holy Water since there is no remission of sins outside the Church. However if I had to guess the person could be given graces to resist sin through devout use of it.

It recalls to us our Baptism and it wards off the devil. The devil hates holy water. It is used in exorcisms for that purpose. It is a sign of our devotion to Jesus Christ. Devout Catholics sometimes put a font at their front door (well my Mum did)
