  • Do you know who Fr. Fred McManus was? Once upon a time, I had to pass his academic office several times daily. I always experienced a deep sense of dread when doing so.

A nearby office still had the gum residue on the office door window for a certain Fr. Charles Curran, STD.

  • I thought it could be helpful to the hundreds of NO priest who are drawn to Tradition of late, because our Pope is not doing true Catholic leadership.  So now you make me look up Fr McManus, whom I didn't even know, and ouch...he was recognized as the TOP American Canonist, and participated at VatII as peritus...

He might have been OK in 1955 1956, ???. Who knows.
Thanks a lot for the warning for sure.
The internet says Fr  Curran worked in some Prot institution...hmmm . Would it be this priest?  He must be overly modernist to have incurred some punishment from Rome!!. The plot thickens:

Not MY pope or your pope! The chair of Peter has been vacant for over 60 years.

    McManus was always corrupt.

  • Fortescue's 'Ceremonies of the Roman Rite Described' is a classic text - and sounder than McManus:
