Eugenio Zolli (the former Chief Rabbi of Rome who converted to Catholicism in 1945) advised Pope Pius XII to reinstate the genuflection for the Jews at the Good Friday prayer. This change happened in 1955.

1928 – The Catholic group Amici Israel ("Friends of Israel"), founded in 1926, submitted a docuмent to Pope Pius XI through its president, abbott Benedetto Gariador, explicitly requesting both the removal of perfidis/perfidia and the reinstatement of genuflection in the prayer for the Jews. Pius XI did not act on it.
Post-1945 – Eugenio Zolli and Jules Isaac separately petitioned Pius XII to make changes to the prayer, and Massimo Vitale, a leader of the Union of Italian Jєωιѕн Communities, petitioned the Vatican 41 times since 1946 on the matter, including direct interventions with Pius XII.

So the genuflection was being asked for at least since 1928, and Pius XII's 1955 reform came after roughly a decade of post-war pressure.
