I'm calling B.S.

Settlement of Appalachia wasn't even legal then much less the mid west. Manifest Destiny was not even a dream yet. Did Washington even know of the Pacific much less ponder it as the western border of the the colonies? Also, the terminology of the Union only comes as an pretext to prosecute the War of Northern Agression. Slavery had nothing to do with the initiation of that war so the African connection is falsified.

Stop promulgating falsities as it belittles those of us who understand the true dangers of the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr.
There is a reason why I put this in the Library Subforum. The moderator Matthew of Cath-Info makes it clear that this forum is not for discussion and chat unless the rules have changed since 2009. If you have a problem with this story that I shared, private message me. I am choosing not to discuss this here.

I skimmed over it, and while it's a compelling story, it reads more like something out of the Book of Mormon without all the "and it came to pass" and 19th-century anatomical references (e.g., "burning in the bosom", "hot drinks are not for the belly").

I don't entertain the authenticity of private revelations unless the Catholic Church approves them.

OK, I took the time to read it, and two thoughts immediately come to mind:

  • In the present era of political correctness, no way could you ever suggest that anything coming out of Africa would be less than totally good, holy, noble, and glorious.  Least of all in the pages of Stars and StripesNo way.  This could never see print today (or else that part would be censored out).

  • The third scourge seems to be a thinly veiled reference to worldwide Communism trying to take over America.  It dovetails right in with the "Red Scare" of the 1950s.

Yes, that's why I asked for a more credible source.

What are you talking about?  Did Washington know about the Pacific?  ...What?!!
.
Do you not know that California was discovered by the Europeans in the 1500s, over 200 years BEFORE the American Revolution?

The prophecy never mentioned slavery, nor did it label one side better, in describing the cινιℓ ωαr.

If you don't want to believe the prophecy, fine.  But don't insert straw men into the debate.
