  • I appreciate this but I still would like to see people purchase the entire book set for themselves.  If we support Traditional Catholic publishers, they will themselves be able to stay in business and continue to republish now out of print  classics.

What I would like to see is John Paul II's writings in pdf format because I don't want to pay a single penny for any of his writings.  A dime spent on a small children's sticker from some machine is a better investment.

I mostly agree. I would rather read material in hard copy form than online, too. Also, it's good to have timeless Catholic teachings and truth in hard copy form in order to preserve it, because the time will come when Antichrist erases all Catholic literature from the internet, or an EMP can erase all of it in an instant. And it's good to support Catholic businesses with your money.

But it's still good to have these online books for people who can't afford to acquire the hard copies, or they're just learning the Catholic Faith and they want quick access to information that will help them develop a basic understanding in their quest.

I just up thumbed your posting to offset the down thumb someone posted likely by mistake. I agree with your suggestion.
By coincidence, I was reading from the Liturgical Year to my children yesterday and telling them, that if I were deserted on an island and could only have two books, I would have the Haydock bible and The Liturgical year.

Or, what's worse, not just "erase" it but start revising and altering it.  When all you have are electronic copies, nobody would be any wiser if various "offensive" passages were removed from Sacred Scripture, just to take an example.

From time to time, one can almost detect a tad bit of modernism here and there, but it's a very solid work overall.

  • The above posted links are not all correct and some of the books are missing.

I just clicked on all 15 volumes. They look correct to me. The last volume (Volume 15) appears it might be wrong because the default page (after clicking the link) to the book isn't correct, but what follows is the correct volume.
Who is she that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array? ~ Canticle of Canticles 6:9
