  • I attended a Lutheran baptism once and it was almost the Novus Ordo word for word. It's no wonder they are bleeding members like there's no tomorrow. This Mass has that power.

Ironically the Lutherans used an altar rail for communion!!

I was floored. They had more reverence for a piece of bread than most Novus Ordites do for the Body of Our Lord.

I want to let you all know that will not happen again.

I attended my last NO "mass" this past week.

I stopped by a church to pray for a little and it happened to be the time of the Saturday vigil. I decided to stay and it turned out to be a horrible idea.

In place of a homily there was a guest priest speaking about the donations he needs for his church in Guatemala. The worst part was the story that he told us about a man in a nearby village. The man came to the priest asking him how he could become a priest himself. The priest told the man that he should stick to being a Mayan spiritual leader because he is touching more people that way. After he finished, all of the attendees clapped and donated money.

At the end of the "mass", the congregation sand a song called "Lord of the Dance". Some of the lyrics included dancing to the stars and the moon and dancing to the Pharisees.

    WHAT THE HELL???

Now why'd you have to go and do that?? Now that song will be in my head all night!!

LOL!!!  I still know the tune and lyrics to that one, even though it has been decades since I heard it!

The priest who baptized me (was at my church from 1980 to 1992) actually didn't allow that song. As I was very young, I thought he was crazy as that was one of my favorites.  :laugh1:
