Thanks for posting TD.
Yes, God has given us such a simple solution to all of our problems: the Rosary.
God bless Bishop Williamson for promoting it so tirelessly. I am sure many more people are praying many more Rosaries today because of him, I amongst them.
I believe the Bishop had Parkinson's Disease which probably affected his ability to control his emotions which would have been rather embarrassing for him at times.
May he rest in peace.
Because of his devotion to her Rosary, surely the Mother of God hastened to Bp. Williamson’s bedside to his defense against the many wicked spirits who would have him to fall. Against Her, they had no chance. Those who were present say H.E.’s agony was mercifully short.
No, he did not have Parkinson’s. It was a genetic condition known as Essential Tremor, nowhere near as serious as Parkinson’s. It does not lead to difficulty in controlling emotions or cause death. It can, however, become more pronounced with age.
If you view the entire interview, the bishop was suffering from a severe cold, perhaps the flu, and was running a fever. The tissue he’s holding is for his runny nose. Note he is bundled up in a sweater and has a red scarf wrapped around his neck. He chose to do the interview anyway despite the fact he probably should have been under the covers in bed with hot tea on the nightstand.
For all his sternness and British stiff upper lip, the bishop’s heart had a seldom seen soft spot at its core, a great compassion for sinners and those beset by affliction.
