                                          Bella Dodd...

A legendary woman. I've known several others who met her and heard her
lectures. One day, someone will say, I knew a man who knew a woman who
met Bella Dodd and heard her speeches. And the day may come when
someone else will say, when he was a young man, he knew a man who had
heard another man, who knew a woman who knew Bella Dodd.

That's what happens in Catholicism. We remember people from hundreds of
years ago. So don't tell me that Bella Dodd wasn't real. Oh, no? Don't be
ridiculous, you might say, NeelyAnn or your ilk? That's right. Bella Dodd
was a real person and she really gave these speeches and she really lived
the life she talked about. Because I've already had liberals denounce her
memory to my face, claiming she is a mere legend. That's how stupid
liberals can be when they just can't let go of their heresy and lies.

When I go to New England, I like to have some fun. When I find a liberal or
an atheist who is a fan of WTC and 9-11 for example, and that's not hard to do,
I say, "The twin towers were just an urban legend. I never saw them myself, so
I don't think they ever existed. Photoshop. Air brush. Mass hallucination.
Whatever." Or, go to New Hampshire, where there is no shortage of loyalists
for ---- what? WTC? No. Abraham Lincoln? No. THE OLD MAN IN THE MOUNTIAN!
When I find one who denies the historicity of the Bible, which is not hard to do,
I tell him, "I don't believe in the Old Man in the Mountain. Yeah, sure, his photo
is on postage stamps, the State Quarter and official docuмents. His profile is
part of every state highway sign. I know. But it's all urban legend. He never
really existed. It's entirely explainable by coincidence and myth."

It's fun to get them going. You never know what they'll say. But you find out
how dogmatic an unbeliever can be when it suits his purpose.

These two guys in this interview knew her. They said they saw the original School of darkness manuscript and it was about 1000 pages, not the 200 page filtered version that we have.

Also CatholicCounterpoint.com has the Bella Dodd lecture which is very good.

It may be unrelated to this thread but the talks she gave, and this list she gave to Bishop Fulton Sheen - it didn't stop anything.  The plans went ahead as planned.

So, the man being interviewed said she was murdered on the operating table.  She'd been allowed to be an anti Communist for exactly as long as she had been active in the Party.
