    • Chapter XIX, "The Soul of the Sacrifice of the Mass," found in Rev. Fr. Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange's work The Love of God and the Cross of Jesus (trans. Sister Jeanne Marie, O. P. Vol. 2. St. Louis, MO: B. Herder Book Co., 1951), constitutes one of the most beautiful and theologically acute commentaries on the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and its relation to the interior life that I have ever read.
