  • With these controversies, the Saint and Doctor converted tens of thousands of protestants to the true religion:

    • ISBN-10 ‏ : ‎ 0895553872
    • ISBN-13 ‏ : ‎ 978-0895553874

I think this a good reference to give to a protestant of good will, who's searching for the Truth with an open mind.

It covers at least 5 very important controversies: the lack of mission of protestant ministers, the visibility of the Church, purgatory, the authority of St. Peter and the canon of Scripture. They are so thorough, so sound and convincing that when I finished I just wanted more! I would love to read the Saint discuss veneration of saints and holy images, but he never conceived the controversies as a unit. He wrote them separately and just slid them beneath doors and posted them as pamphlets, since he was forbidden to preach.

Praise God for giving his Church this great doctor! St. Francis de Sales, pray for us!
    ¡Viva Jesús!

Please, disregard any opinions and references that I have posted that may seem favorable to any traditionalist group, especially those that pertinaciously deny EENS (CMRI, Sanborn, Dolan and associates, for example).

  • Rather strange to make a thread in the library without either providing a link to the book, or attaching a PDF of the book in the post.

    2 Corinthians 4:3-4

And if our gospel be also hid, it is hid to them that are lost, In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of unbelievers, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine unto them.
