Title: Why did gasoline jump 30 cents in 3 days?
Post by: Matthew on January 27, 2023, 06:43:43 PM
Anyone know why?

Gas was $2.89 when I went grocery shopping on Tuesday, but today it was $3.19. SAME CITY, SAME STATION.

Did a war start, or what?

I was wondering the same thing. Up to 3.24 after being under $3 last week

Maybe because the midterms are both over and forgotten about?

Well in Ontario Canada, gas prices today are $1.53 per LITRE.

There are 3.785 litres in a US gallon so we'd pay $5.79 per US gallon.

When I got my first car I paid 32 cents for an Imperial Gallon which is 25 ounces more than a US gallon.
Ah, for the good old days.

Gas has been fluctuating between $3.29 and $3.49 in my area since the start of the year. It will go up for a week, and then drop back down the next. I have no idea what's driving it.
