    • One good site to buy food is http://www.bulkfoods.com , or just go to Costco, etc.  Bulkfoods ships it to you for free.

    • As good as gold and silver are, you cannot eat them.  Even if you have them, there may not be any food to purchase at any price.  I would focus on food first, gold/silver second.  I am personally getting some basic, solid gear for the backcountry, too.  God speed my friends.
