  • And ice. It's really quite terrifying. I'm tired of the snow, but in states south of us, they've already been getting snow all day, and many really aren't that adept at handling such weather (lack of exposure to it). I think we should say a special prayer for the abandoned, homeless, and others exposed to the elements through this particular storm, particularly that they may find warmth and shelter. And maybe especially for those who lose power and are elderly or have children. I don't think it's supposed to warm up until Friday, and The Weather Channel reported some might be out of power for up to a week, depending on ice accuмulation.

If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

So much for global warming!  It's 36°F and we have over a foot cuмulative of heavy, wet, slush/snow in New York.  My snow shovel hasn't gotten such a workout in over 20 years!
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • Has anyone else noticed that the storms come so suddenly that the prognosticators can't even predict it?
