  • I only know about Oil what I've read --

    Perhaps Peak Oil won't be the thing that messes up our civilization. It doesn't need to be, because the economic situation is much more worrisome, because there is NO WAY a crash won't happen, the way things are going.

    Infinite growth isn't possible in a finite world.

  • I don't mean to disagree with anyones view on peak oil. The question is posed by the article more than by myself. The main point is that we are flush with oil and gas in Australia to the point where one might think it is valueless, yet we pay through the nose for the stuff while our wonderful government flogs it off for a song to the likes of loveable old China. Whether it is the idea of peak oil or not, we are being had a lend of somewhere along the line. That much, I guess, is not really news.
