How can we use more grain than we grow? This is even more fantastical than the wonderful things they do with money these days.

Well, the article says that we've been using up our "pantry stock" as it were.

I can eat more than I buy at the store -- as long as I have some extra food stored here in the house. The problem is, you can't do that for long...

I see. Thanks for 'splaining that to me. I did read a bit ago that our wheat crops were hit by about four different devastations (army worms, ice, flooding, etc) and will not produce much, if anything. And I've watched bread go up a third in price over the last few months, so.....
