  •   Ron Paul on the Mortgage Meltdown, Bond Market Blowup and Incompetent Federal Reserve

"More inflation is, however, never the answer to inflation.

The truth is that business involves risk, and businesses that miscalculate risk should be liquidated, so their assets can be reallocated to businesses that correctly judge risk and make profits.

Instead, the Fed has injected $64 billion into the jittery markets, effectively amounting to a bailout that keeps these malinvestments afloat, but eventually they will become the undoing of our economy."

    -Ron Paul August 2007

  • I had a great opportunity for mischief yesterday and took it.  I joined an organization in England some months back called MFAW (Military Families Against the War).  They are holding a rally or some such to try to get a hospital for their troops.  At present, it seems, their soldiers are having to pay for medical treatment out of their own pockets.

Of course I had to reply that I wouldn't be there for it, but wished them all blessings.  Then I proceeded to tell them that if we could get a good man in office over here, chances were that this war would be put out to pasture, so to speak.  Since both parties here are corrupt, we can't vote by the party, but there is a man I can recommend----Ron Paul.  I put in a plug or two for him, then said wouldn't it be funny if England began to campaign for him and turned this into an international affair, breaking the media black out.

    Well?  Wouldn't it be funny?

  • What is perhaps odd is that Paul's election, and maybe even his campaign, might (in a way) trigger a war here.  There are other factors at work, of course, but he is part of the mix whereby people are seeing and openly discussing certain grievous evils.  This open discussion will lead to more division, as the lovers of truth will be persecuted by those who seek to keep the evil deeds cloaked in darkness and mystery.

  • Do you really think Americans have the gumption?  Their max effort seems to be "I ought".

  • Many do not have the gumption right now, and do not see the need to fight.  When the hour arrives, a sufficient number will muster the gumption.  Truth shall conquer - vincit veritas.
