  • Fatima plus 90---where are we now?

A brief overview of the current state of the world should suffice to take up Lucia's charge: "Jesus wishes to make use of you to make me known and loved. He wants to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart." ( Our Lady of the Rosary to Lucia June 13, 1917 as quoted in Rediscovering Fatima, Rev. Robert J. Fox, OSV, pp. 42)

    Perversion is the rule

In this day and age I have to go to work in fear and trembling because one small slip of the tongue is all that is required for me to be terminated for violation of our Affirmative Action Policy which requires me to offer no offense in the slightest to the most vile persons imaginable. I can not *offend* the Sodomite who sɛҳuąƖly harasses me each and every day, offering his services and ogling me continually while making statements and gestures so grotesque that I am unable to find any euphemisms to describe them to you. But, I AM THE ONE IN JEOPARDY!!! I am the one who will create the "hostile work environment" because of my "intolerance" and I dare not speak of him in any derogatory way because (and this IS in the manual) if I use a *lisp* when mentioning him or any other of his type to someone else and he OVERHEARS MY CONVERSATION WITH ANOTHER then it IS curtains for me. And once I am fired for this *gross misconduct* (can you see how everything is upside-down? ) where can I find employment; who can risk hiring me now that I am simply a law-suit waiting to happen?

Let us also not forget to mention the predatory females whose *casual* conversation would make a WWII sailor blush. When these gals latch on to you only the Grace of God will allow you to escape their clutches with marital chastity and employment intact. Then there are the lesbians who are panting in anticipation for your misstep; their once again unmentionable actions and words notwithstanding. BTW, you may be interested to know that by law one can not have their civil rights violated unless they are in a "protected group" and the only group I qualify to be a member of is the over forty set, but all that they will help me with is if my age is used to disqualify me for a promotion. Talk about Social Security !!! Now you know why I previously quoted Animal Farm; is this not ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS? If you think that I am exaggerating then simply ask your husband---better make sure that the children are asleep first.

Money (usedta) makes the world go round

I will now provide you with a thumbnail sketch of what is happening in the world, and I MEAN world, financial markets. Many are talking about sub-prime loans, you know, the loans made to people without the means to repay them. What few are mentioning however, is why they are such a threat to everyone. The sub-prime loans were "bundled" and magically became a "security" of which a "derivative" could be purchased then the "rating" firms turned some of these bundles and derivatives into A+++ securities so that those with severe restrictions on investments (such as municipalities and pension funds) could purchase these wonderful new money makers. But it gets better! The banks who would never make the "bad" loans to the "deadbeats" in the sub-prime market did loan BILLIONS to firms who purchased the above mentioned novelties.

But, you may say, everything is okey-dokey now because the Central Banks throughout the world have pumped HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of dollars into their respective economies to soften the impact of these minor (BILLIONS AND BILLIONS) indiscretions. That sounds good unless one remembers that central banks are not banks at all. Our own Federal Reserve Bank is not federal, has no reserve (that would be money) and is not a bank at all. The Federal Reserve Bank simply exists to manipulate the market by adjusting the interest rates on government bonds (aka national debt) so that they can get more money in the stock market (low yield bonds) or less money in the market (higher yield) and of course they give permission to Uncle Sam to run the printing presses at the US Mints so long as it is recognized that Uncle Sam (that's you, me and our children) owes the full face value of what is printed to--you guessed it--the Federal Reserve Bank. Nice work if you can get it.

But we still have not reached the real problem yet - that is, why there is still so much hushed concern in the world-wide market. The Federal Reserve Bank just lowered the Prime interest rate by 1/2 of 1% to ease any possible tightening of credit. This is important because the way the merry-go-round is devised, Big Bank borrows dollar which it loans to big bank, which it loans to medium bank which loans to small bank or retails out to business or "peasants" like us.

See how magical money has become? The same dollar is counted as an asset and becomes a liability on scores of balance sheets. THIS IS BY DEFINITION A PONZI SCHEME! The fear is that somewhere in the daisy-chain someone might become skittish and, believe-it-or- not, think about whether or not to take on additional debt. If that happens then the Ponzi Scheme is revealed and collapses because a Ponzi Scheme can only survive so long as there are new suckers buying in and creating the *wealth*.

This brings us back to why the sub-prime faux pas is mentioned at all. When the inevitable happens(why take an ARM at an introductory rate 3%, which you know will rise and whose ceiling is vague at best, instead of a fixed rate of 6%--OBVIOUSLY because you CAN"T AFFORD to pay the 6% rate), foreclosures will pop up like mushrooms all over the dung heap which is the (world wide) Real Estate market of present. People will be hard pressed to use their home as an ATM machine and get that REFI because either the new rate will be prohibitive or their house will not be worth what they currently OWE on it. Thus, luxuries such as vacations, renovations and maxing out credit cards again (just wiped clean by the last REFI) will not be available to large percentages of the population and ALL of the *industries* will suffer accordingly which means lay-offs and a self-perpetuating spiral of economic decay. Some say Recession, some say Depression; either way, we SIMPLE FOLK CALL IT "HARD TIMES."

Did you notice the REAL significance of the last three paragraphs? The world economy is based on CREDIT and the willingness of all consumers (government, business, and individuals) to live wildly beyond their means! Thanks to Globalism we will all take each other down with us. Say for whatever reason; nervousness, recession, sanity, that we as a society refrain from rushing to Wal-Mart and running up our credit cards with reckless abandon purchasing poisonous and otherwise hazardous sub-standard products from Communist China; down goes the Red Chinese economy. Goody, serves them right, you might say BUT, because we have bought SO MUCH from The Peoples' Republic of China (many of their companies ARE the government) - they own lots and lots of---you guessed again!---the US bonds.

If they try to cash them in, Katie-bar-the- door, our dollar will become as all other currencies where the country imports more than it exports (we have been there for awhile). That is to say, just this side of worthless. It could happen that as in post-WWI Germany we could see the day when we take our money to the grocery store in a wheel-barrow and take our groceries home in our purse. And I don't just mean Americans, I mean all nations. If that happens then we all know what will follow--WWIII.

Making the world safe for Democracy

I will in no way take a position on the current wars we are now engaged in--there are plenty of other places to have that fight--I simply want to objectively discuss what is happening. Ever since we started having wars to "make the world safe for Democracy" (WWI) the rules of engagement have drastically changed. Wars are now waged by killing vast numbers of civilians (euphemistically referred to as collateral damage) and destroying the infrastructure of the nations we are attacking, thus leading to even more *collateral damage*. We carry out this barbarism in such a way that the general public at home is unaware of what is really going on. How many people take notice that deaths for citizens of Iraq are in the hundreds of thousands? Are they all combatants? I fear not. Have we angered the Islamic community world-wide? You betcha! Do we have an exit strategy? Nope. When will we get out? When the Mohammedans expel us from Iraq, which will occur sometime after we expand the war to include Iran and probably Syria.

BTW, all of this fun-in-the-sun is happening in Russia's back yard; remember Afghanistan was step one and, if we get too cute in this, the Russian (there they are again!) Bear will awake from his hibernation, hungry and rather perturbed, to say the least.

Oh yeah, our dear friend, Communist China, is so much closer than we are to the region and has had experience as an empire; sorta like Iran (nee Persia) only the Persian Empire was much larger, wealther and took Alexander the Great to defeat. We, the world's only *super power*, are setting ourselves up for a humiliation and, if we are extraordinarily fortunate, our leaders will stop the madness before the fighting comes to our own shores. Terrorist actions will not be avoidable but even Bin Laden's wildest dream beats "Shock and Awe" any day of the week; just ask any Grandmother in Iraq.

I mean no disrespect to the military or its rightful duty; I
would even go further than that and state that I fully accept the Nuremberg Defense as valid. What is going on now, however, is a simple case of our government writing checks that our military can not cash and the resultant atrocities that are and have been carried out are the sole responsibility of the civilian leadership. There will be a reckoning for those atrocities, however, and while "Democracy" might suffer, it does not bleed, or starve, or die; those inelegances are left for we mere mortals caught in the cross-fire between ideologies.

Well, there you have it, just three of my reasons for wanting you to heed and spread the message of Fatima. We are living in a time of pure vanity (I mean that Biblically) which begs the immortal question: How long can this go on?

Sans consecrations, the world is ugly, as was foretold by Our Lady of the Rosary, and it will get worse, unless we " beg pardon for the outrages, sacrileges, and indifference by which He is offended".

We need your help. You can save the world if you help bring about the consecration of Russia by praying the Rosary, making the acts of reparation on the First Saturdays and petitioning our Holy Father. The consecration will eventually happen, of course, but the only question really is how many must suffer and die as a result of Catholic indifference toward Fatima? You and I are the deciding factor in that equation. We have no choice in the matter; Our Mother said so.

    State in Fide,
    Samuel

  • Samuel,

    WAKE UP!!!

You can petition Benny ALL YOU WANT, and he will NEVER do anything to help Catholics.  The man is a crypto-rabbi, bent upon the destruction of our Holy Church.

  • So, let's petition Mary.  This poor man has had to endure more from the world than I would ever want to, esp. at work.  I'd sure be petitioning Mary a lot over that alone.
