How can you think that this was not torture. It was horrible what they did to this man.

  • Alex, I think this theif is a liar, and whining about getting a rough ride from the people he stole from.

I don't feel sorry for him at all, he's got that one covered.

His captors were so infirm that they needed help of doctors to get into police vans.

    What a snivelling wimp.

Why are you judging this man and saying that he is a theif. It says that he lost their savings in the financial crisis. People lose money all the time when they invest in things, especially in today's bad economy. And you don't know if he is lying about his being tortured. He could have very well been tortured as he described. His kidnappers aged 60, 63, and 66 were not that old. My father is 61 and his friends are around that age too, so I know what those in their 60's are physically capable of.

  • Alex, you are obviously a more charitable and sweet natured soul than I :sign-surrender:

Readin the narrative, and reading between the lines I still doubt the guy is some innocent victim.

Also, because two of his "torturors" are doctors, I tend to think they were fairly careful.

It SOUNDS very lawyered-up in the article.  Like maybe he got a cigarette burn while out smoking in a scuffle.

But, you are correct-I should not judge the boss of an investment group for losing money.  It's a pity there is no follow-up from the  guys who messed with him.
