  •  That supposed tax break ($13 a week or some such thing), Obama is implementing, is NOT a tax break. I just heard on the radio, this lady went to do her taxes, and her tax man told her, "hey, you know this Obama tax break? You'd better increase your withholdings, because next year... you'll be paying back whatever you get.

So for those of you who pay taxes... this is NOT a tax break. Increase your withholdings, because you will be paying back this so-called "tax break" next year. The tax rates have not moved, and will not move. This is not free cash.

Lies, lies, lies... This administration is all smoke and mirrors.

(This was on the Rush Limbaugh show today, and even he hadn't heard about this yet, until this lady called in.)
I renounce any and all of my former views against what the Church through Pope Leo XIII said, "This, then, is the teaching of the Catholic Church ...no one of the several forms of government is in itself condemned, inasmuch as none of them contains anythi

  • Sounds like an isolated case to me.

Perhaps she has 2 jobs ...
in which case both employers may be giving her the "break" that she acutally doesn't qualify for because she makes too much money between the two.

OR, her income + her husband's might be over the limit.

This credit is being paid out through employer withholding which is fundamentally not very accurate as no single employer knows your entire tax situation. It's works for most, though, and is easier than cutting checks for everyone like Bush did.

  • I heard that on Rush too. Yes, everytime Obama comes out he says one thing and means another. Reminds me of Animal Farm. Napoleon came out everyday, then one of the animals noticed that what he said and what was written on the side of the barn contradicted each other and the animals suffered. Still all rushed to defend Napoleon and remind each other of how much better off they were.
