I got a voice message (I saw the call, but let it go to voicemail. I basically screen my calls) -- a real person, not a bot, recording, or call center -- from a local factory wondering if anyone "in our congregation" was looking for work. I recognized the name of the factory. They're definitely local.

So now factories are seeking blue-collar workers by cold-calling every church (large, small, and tiny) in their area. Unprecedented!

I mean, they're not just calling big churches, but even tiny ones located in residential areas. They're that desperate!

  • EVERY SINGLE lower-wage business around me is desperately hiring, help wanted, higher wages, extra perks like tuition assistance, etc.

Did CÖVÌD kill off that many people?

Sure, a lot went on unemployment because it paid more than working.  But that has come to an end in our state.

    So where are these people?

I suspect that people got used to not having to work and are finding ways to keep it that way, whether it's living in their parents' basement (since a lot of these types of jobs were filled by younger people) or just going on EBT and welfare.

It's all lining up to the Great Reset, where people would get a Universal Basic Income ... and most are content with that.  Fewer and fewer young people are working so as to be able to have families.  Who needs a family when you can just fornicate when you emerge from your parents' basement to attend parties?

  • When my brother lost his job in a restaurant because of CÖVÌD, they gave him a lot of money in unemployment. He eventually got back to work, but for a long time he was making enough from unemployment to pay his bills, so he thought why work, when he didn't have to and when working wouldn't net him much more money than just getting unemployment? Now he is back at the restaurant but for a year he was at home not working.

I think a lot of young men do not think they will be able to have a normal wife and family because of the state of society, so they have no ambition to make a lot of money. Many of these men are not fornicating (though a lot of them watch porn), they are kind of like hikikomori or incels. They want a wife and kids but do not think it will ever happen.

This. A lot of people have no ambitions at all, even the most basic ones like owning their own home or starting a family, because of the insane state of our society, so all they need is enough money to survive and pay basic bills. Social welfare is more than enough to do that. The question then becomes, why work 40 hours a week for a little extra pocket money?

It just doesn't make sense to work a minimum wage job anymore for a lot of people. And so they just don't.

Certain powers that be saw that the hikki model destroys men in Japan like nothing else so there is a concentrated push in America now to get men on porn, games and anime. The aforementioned also gets men to "tran$ition", which permanently puts them out of the game. Meanwhile they hyper-feminize the society and make women into "overachievers" so they won't want to "marry down". Japan's birth rates speak for themselves, the feminization of their society is leading to a complete collapse.  In an area I used to live over there you can actually buy houses for super cheap in the rural areas but no one can fill them and others don't want them: the allure of "success" in the city is too great.

No.  "Enhanced unemployment benefits" killed off that many people.

  • A lot of these vacant jobs still pay nowhere near enough to start a family, even if you work two or three of them.  There are almost always no benefits and putting in 16-18 hour days six, even seven days per week renders one ineligible for Medicaid or other programs like SNAP.  I’m not trying to excuse laziness, but if a man practically ruins his health and has no time for his potential wife, what incentive is there to work?  Especially if he can survive in relative comfort in mother’s basement?  Aside from being a bit musty, one can make a pretty nice man cave, or she shed, for that matter.  The people who will take these jobs are likely to be those who have to support themselves, as in live in a dingy rented room or live in a tent on the sidewalk.  Illegals take them, also because they can’t get welfare of any sort except a public hospital cannot turn them away or even require their real name.

There are certainly people who’ve lost their jobs, homes, and used up their savings due to Covid closures, older folks who want and need to work, but the sort of jobs needing workers require physical strength and stamina, which many older people lack.  As a 61 year old with health issues, I cannot be a waitress or do work requiring me to stand for hours or lift heavy objects.  Someone suggested I apply at an Amazon warehouse.  I looked it up on line and saw immediately there was no way I could do the work.  Running all over a cement floor, climbing ladders to get merchandise, keeping pace with a tracking device, limited bathroom breaks, 10 hour shifts…when I use a cane?  I don’t think so!

There is no demand for white collar jobs, especially those that can be done fully or partially from home. Those that do exist want young, computer savvy people.  The upper middle class and wealthy made out like bandits from Covid—of course this was part of the plan.  They moved in droves out of big cities to suburbs and up class semi-rural communities.  The cities have been left to the poor and disaffected libtards, to the homeless and fentanyl addicts.

I’m looking within the next five years, probably less, for an almost complete economic collapse, not just the US, but worldwide, maybe only the few primitive tribes in the Amazon or Papua New Guinea will be unaffected.  Anyone up for a missionary/survivalist trip?

  • And the liberals say this:  “After years of being abused by employers, they had enough.”  Lol.

Welfare has been for years the basic income.

And of course the impostor Catholic Church leads the way to promote welfare and laziness.

It reminds me of recent article where a wealthy parish helps a “poor” family “relocate” from mostly moslem Afghanistan to USA while people in the area  lost jobs, businesses and homes.  These hypocrite “Catholics” couldn’t even help their own families.

Tiny homes for homeless vets while “refugees” get brand new big homes for free.
While Americans get over priced σbαmα care thanks to republicans and Supreme Court, “refugees” get free medical.

Many people don’t want to work a job because they live for free which is stealing.
To live with the Saints in Heaven is all bliss and glory....To live with the saints on Earth is just another story!  (unknown)

  • I'm actually torn on unemployment. A lot of young people who couldn't otherwise start a family have gotten the chance (and they've taken it - personally seeing this) to because of the lockdowns and unemployment. A C%b3rP0lygon like event etc are going to eliminate money so I honestly see this as one of the first (incidentally) pro-natalist things the government has done in decades and I welcome it. This is an instance where the government giving out money isn't the worst. Generally the system is set up to force men and women to work and frustrate family formation and finally women get the chance to stay home? Inflation is coming no matter what, tyranny is here etc. Why not get some more families started?

  • If you're looking for work, and the potential employer or job recruiter asks you if you can work on Sunday, and you decline (because you need to keep the Sabbath), don't tell them the reason. If you tell them that you need Sunday open for church or it is forbidden to work on the Sabbath, they will not hire you. They are targeting all children of God for destitution, enslavement and, ultimately, eradication.

Under law, they can't ask you about your religious beliefs, but they can ask vague, open ended-questions about whether or not you can work on Sunday. Don't fall for their trick by telling them that you observe the Sabbath.

The persecution against children of God is now well-organized and systemic. The government and corporate sectors are all involved.

  • It's getting pretty bad out there.  A local convenience store had a sign up today, saying their kitchen was closed because they didn't have anyone to work, sign on the door, $10 per hour, no experience necessary, will train.  I told the clerk that if I weren't busy 24/7 with family obligations, heck, yeah, I'd go down there and serve up hot dogs and chili for $10 per hour.  You can't live on that, but it would make a pretty nice cushion to my modest post-retirement income.  Then we went to the local Sam's Club for hot dogs, and for two days in a row, they've been out of hot dogs.  Then we went to Waffle House, and they had a sign on the door saying that orders and service might be delayed due to under-staffing.  We got waffles and bacon (for me) and sat out in the parking lot to eat.

Hard telling where this is going to end up.  I'm still waiting to see whether my wife or I get the $250 monthly check for our son.  She doesn't need it, in fact, she and her illicit mortally sinful consort may make too much to qualify.  I could use it --- that new car payment, you know --- but I've never asked her for money in my life, and I don't intend to start now.  Put more water in the bean soup and get more staples at Dollar Tree.  We don't require much money to live, and it's a good thing.  And that new Camry just sips the gas, 34 mpg highway over the weekend.
