    • I got mine ($1200) but my son's $500 hasn't come through yet.  I am treating mine as "found money" and will put my son's money in his savings account.  I did buy some hobby equipment I'd been wanting, not $1200 worth (more like $200).  It doesn't take much for us to live on.

    If they send out another stimulus payment, I am half-minded to buy some gold with it.

    • Yes, I received mine on the 15th. I also was able to apply for unemployment loot even though I'm an independent contractor who works from home for the last 8 years, Michigan lets us do that now - our old bag governor, Gretchen nitWhitmer lets us do this if our income was negatively affected by the fake pandemic. I went online to apply, took all of maybe 10 minutes, all you had to do was answer a few questions correctly, then wait a few weeks for approval, then a few weeks later you should start getting direct deposits. It likely won't work that way due to a massive system overload, but we'll see I guess.

    Not sure yet how to turn it off, but I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

    That blows my guess that Democrat States were being delayed and Republican States paid first.  The only other thing is that they've announced if your last tax return did not contain bank account information for a refund the "stimulus check" would be a paper check mailed to you and would be delayed.

    Based on the responses so far it sounds like those who had it direct deposited got it already.  So this sounds correct.

    • For those who didn't get it, just be a little patient.  Evidently the way this stupid program works is that it bulk loads waves of data into the system.  I JUST showed up on the "Get My Payment" site this morning.  I entered my Direct Deposit information and am now scheduled to receive a payment.

    My 18-year-old son, who filed for the first time as a non-dependent, isn't in the system yet.  These guys are just slow ... because of

    1) typical government IT talent

    AND

    2) antiquated data with probably very little real-time access (so they rely on bulk exports/imports between the two systems)

    Until this very morning, I kept getting the "Could not determine eligibility" statement.

    According to their information, they add data every night, so there's no need to check the site except once a day.  If you try too many times, you get blocked for excessive attempts.

    • I had heard on the radio a couple weeks ago that the stimulus check was based on your 2018 tax return. So anyone who filed in a federal tax return in 2018 would get a stimulus check, regardless of whether you got a refund, had to pay in, or were at $0 tax on that return.

    I assume (but am not sure) that also means that if you had direct deposit for your 2018 refund that account # is where the stimulus check is going. If you've had to close that account for any reason since then you might have a problem getting your stimulus money.

    I can say that one of my children who filed his first income tax return ever in January received his "stimulus check" on April 13.

    • Well, it's Friday morning, and still nothing.

    I went onto this stupid portal and filled out my information the first day! And I'm supposed to get a large chunk of money because of my numerous offspring.

    Just the same message since the beginning:

    "
