  • Everyone,

I got laid-off this past Thursday.  My last day with my company will be Friday, November 27, although, I have been told not to report to work.  (Ironically, my boss is expecting me to work from home and meet with him and others to pass on my job responsibilities!)  But, here's the real issue.  Gas prices are extremely high, and it is beginning to cause misery in my household, as we are struggling to survive.  With no job in sight but a decent severance package on the way, I do not want to live in Green Hill, paying $4 for a gallon of gas, higher food prices, all the while paying higher taxes to support the liberal, unisex society of hedonistic society with their Utopian vision of public transportation complete with dirty buses and rude bus drivers.

    So, who's with me?!

  • Where is Green Hill? (I know you've mentioned before where you live, but I don't remember.)

    (...or was that a typo??)

    I guess I'm confused.

  • LOL!!!!  Explains why this thread has had so few responses.  Yes, Green Hell; not sure where "Green Hill" is.

  • I am sorry that gas is $4 a gallon where you live. In the states, when it got to $4 a gallon, the economy basically collapsed. The US infrastructure cannot support $4 a gallon gas. I think it will get to $4 a gallon here again and it will get very ugly. I also hate green hell.

  • That's that the point.  Can't live with fossil fuels, can't live without them.  Where did it all start?  For centuries, the Church condemned ursury, then she permitted it.  Was that the Great Apostasy?

Usury is still condemend, but like most other teachings, it is ignored and only laymen discuss it at all......

Weather is cyclical and many proves that is is solar flares that heat things up, likely to go down soon......

I am aopposed to pollution, but not the same thing.....pollution is provable, global warming is not......what Dorothy Day said about it is not human nor healthy to live in a city of millions.....as her motto often was heart "To Christ, to the land"......

Sorry to hear about your work.....where is Greenhill anyway? OUr gas in my areas is around $2.49-$2.59 for 87 grade.....

I mean to type Green Hell and not Green Hill!  If global warming is not occurring, then it begs the question as to why air and ocean temperatures are increasing and why ice all of the World is melting.  A one degree (Celsius) increase is probably tolerable, but how about 2 or 3 degrees?  5 or 10?  How big does the increase have to be before you would accept it as being true?  But, still Green Hell is going to be no picnic, either!

Why is this climatic disaster happening??  Go back in time.  The blame must be laid at the feet of a docuмent called the "Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen."
