    • I think it is too late.

    I think we have to redefine wealth in terms other than "money".

    Some are already doing it through barter, and some are collecting coins etc.  But all of this is on a very small and haphazard scale. It has to be larger.

    • This is one good thing about the Republican party.  (Sorry, I know that a lot of you here are Republicans, but, IMHO, I think that they are pro-life in name only, and pro-choice behind closed doors.)  They will not allow (unlike their hidden toleration of abortion rights) the dollar to go down the toilet.  Problem is, of course, that they will also destroy the biosphere in the process.

    Capitalism was a mistake, founded upon the deistic ideals of the Enlightenment.  It is contrary to natural law, in that it drives individuals and societies to insane, "runaway" consumerism.
