Gauss is one of the most prominent mathematicians ever.




One of his instruments, the Heliotrope. He used it to determine how the surface of the Kingdom of Hanover is curved (ellipsoid, near spherical). Network of triangles shown bottom right on the note.


He wasn't affiliated with NASA. But who knows about the Illuminati?
