Cuz most in the US aren't even aware of the problems we have.

It'll hit them, and they'll be all "Wha... wha.. what happened????... Whas whas going on???..."

It won't be the first time we'll say "I told you so" to the guys calling us conspiracy nuts, and it won't be the last.

Actually, if we tried to use an alternative currency here, our loved ones would find that we have "disappeared" and we'd be in a secret military prison somewhere (probably being tortured).

It's against the law in the US to use alternate currencies, AFAIK.

You'll find that when you have men with gun's to back you up you can pretty much do what you want unles you come across a larger group with more guns.

Yes, but in this case if the cat is away, it is because he is eating another mouse.  The lesson will not be lost on the remaining mice.

They dont have to.  They need only make an example of a few of us.  The rest will fall into line.  Face it: we're cowardly, lazy, and stupid, or we wouldnt be in this situation in the first place.

Pretty much.  I generally make the comparison of our modern age with the era of the pagan Roman empire.  The prevailing political opinion was: give the masses enough bread and circuses, and they wont cause any trouble.

How much different are we?  So long as there is food in the fridge and something entertaining on the television, well, you get the idea.
