  • It was referred to as "Buffett unplugged".

But really, what "insider secrets" would Buffett share with the common man? Let's face it, he has to know something the other 5 billion don't, or he wouldn't be able to make (and keep) his fortune.

He's not going to say anything important -- if anything, his words are calculated to deceive.

Guess what he said (among other things)? He said something to the effect that "the DOW increased from 600 to 11,000 in the last century. To do that again in this century, it would have to hit 2 million". I could have the numbers wrong, but the exact numbers aren't important.

The point is, we CAN'T keep up this exponential growth. Why? Because we're on a FINITE earth. We aren't going to increase our oil supply, etc. by 2000% again. That simply isn't possible, because of geology, physics, etc.

Yes, we had stellar growth in the 20th because we took advantage of easy oil supplies, etc. but we can't do that all over again! I mean, we can't go from 85 million BPD (barrels per day) to 850 million as easily as we went from 8.5 million to 85 million. Get what I'm saying?

For the economy to increase 10-fold (again) we'd have to have a 10-fold increase in energy. That isn't going to happen.
