  • Is there anything immoral about using credit cards in a way that some have described as "gaming the system"?  What I mean is using credit cards to make purchases, paying off the balance each month (so as to avoid interest charges), and the collecting the bonus points that come with the card.  It seems to be getting something for nothing, given that you wouldn't get the bonus points if you paid in cash.

  • Nothing wrong here. The credit cards make their money each time the card is swiped for a purchase, so they only make more money if you do not pay off the balance each month.

  • I do this exact thing every single month and don't lose a minute's sleep. Been doing it for years. We receive around $360 per year in reward cash.

  • I think that those bonus points should go into the charitable donation fund.

  • Credit Cards companies/processors get 3% from the vendor (or more) for every swipe.

  • I noticed my new credit card has the EMV chip in it.  I am weary to use this, because the government is mandating it, and what has Obama ever done right?  Is this safe to use?

Charity begins at home, which is exactly where my bonus cash will stay.
