    • Pope request funds brought to Vatican bank by sept 30th.

    The German army will assist law enforcement on mandates Oct 1st.

    Ireland bank remove cash services from 70 services sept 30th.

    The Bank of England will remove £20 and £50 paper notes on sept 30th.


    Just to name a few indicators that somethings coming..

    • UK is just phasing out the paper £20 and £50 notes in favor of polymer banknotes. A lot of other countries have already done this.

    And the Bank of Ireland reversed their cashless decision after major public backlash.

    Plastic money has been par for the course up here. looks cheap, feels cheap, and by gum, it is cheap. Of course we still have our 1 and 2 dollar coins. At least that feels like money :smirk:

    Maybe it should't feel real, beause the physical currency is actually backed up by nothing and is purely imaginary.  Having paper cash or metal coins gives people the illusion of it being real hard currecy.  So perhaps it's more realistic that it should look and feel like a child's play money.
