I hope people recall the government's massive acquisition of various types of ammo, including hollow point. They know this collapse is going to happen because it is engineered to happen, hence their preparations with buying up ammo. There are multiple objectives here. They are arming themselves for massive unrest, AND they seek to limit ammo possession for citizens. Try buying a box of common calibers at any store. You can't because the feds keep buying it up. They feds are now even buying up Russian ammo, to prevent Americans from relying on it as a quality and value-filled alternative to the U.S. shortage.

Another good reason to have food storage and also to have supplies of clothing, socks, shoes, unders, feminine products, baby clothes, kid clothes, etc. And of course TP!

Somehow I envy all you people about to live through the collapse of civilization. Think of the excitement! You will be acting with animal survival instincts. You will see the formal and cold citizens who were asleep in modern society suddenly become human, and will witness with delight the expressions of terror on their faces as they say with their expression "How lost we are now because we had nothing to do with the traditional Catholic faith, we are a portrayal of purgatory or hell, pity us"

Anyone who is not preparing spiritually and practically is just not paying attention. The collapse of Western Civilization has already happened. As someone on another thread pointed out, the chaos which follows is an effect, not a cause. This is another part of the chastisement, which we have already seen happening in the Church. So we will take up our crosses and follow Him. He will be glorified. Even when we suffer.

I'll need both kinds of TP

So in all seriousness, I've got blessed candles, keep grapes, &c usual stuff, but I've kept my dad's meds (VA sends them automatically, which I'd tried to stop when Daddy went into a nursing home last year, but 'they don't have that form'). So I'm getting oxycontins, gabapentins, tons of insulin and supplies (we're not diabetic), inhalers, various heart pills in varying strengths, percocets, &c pain and heart meds. Valiums and LOTS of stool softeners, tamsulosin (for controlling urine in men, I think), and stuff I couldn't guess what it's for. For some reason, the VA sent "emergency" morphine sulfates, little white powdery pills, too, after they heard of Daddy's stroke earlier this year (I guess they still get hospital notifications and make changes accordingly?). —Yes, our govt IS that stupid; I'd guess thousands worth of meds per month. I was afraid it would come back on me, but they wanted me to file a form they didn't have to "prove" he was in a nursing home; one helpful lady said they'd stop sending them when he passed away.

(Yes I confessed it. I give the out-of-date morphines to the police, but that's it.)

So I have a spare bedroom for his stuff; I'm hoping those will make good bartering or life-saving items (which I'll not share with Doctors Without Borders). BOXES of this stuff now. I also try to keep a stock of 9mm hollow-points; several sidearms, some shotguns [for the men] and two rifles, and my own little SMG. I know how to make things, too (but not hollow-points; I'm not a machine). Muzzle-loaders and a bow, too. Maybe my H can pick up hunting.

And batteries; but we can't keep much gasoline — I keep 25 gallons plus the cars filled. (It's useful for power outages, too). Generator.

Food's a problem, though; I don't have much except canned foods. So I took a hint from the OT and have extra rooms for my priest so he can keep consecrating. We hope to have this attitude:

One of the great things about hollow points, besides their supreme stopping power in self-defense, is you can add a drop of an agent(s) inside the hollow point, and seal it inside with wax. Therefore, if you only shoot an extremity, that agent will still render the threat / aggressor expired in due time.

I know the reverse has happened.
