I have been preparing for the worst for quite a while now.  Let me say this, the further I get in my preparation journey the more I am sure that you really need to stock up on the following:

    1) Prayer - because no one should face a crisis without one.
    2) Faith – because what little faith I have will be tested in a crisis.
    3) Hope in God - because the alternative is way to depressing.
    4) Charity - because if I don’t hear the cry of the poor now.  How can I ask God to hear my cry when an economic collapse does occur.
