  • I know plenty of siblings that have saved their $ and bought a bunch of acres and then split up the land so they could live close together.  I've mentioned the idea to a few friends and they get excited about it but then they never mention it again.  Some personalities just don't have the "get up and go" to make a plan happen, and some don't like change, they just like talking about it.  I find it discouraging, but I guess that's just human nature for some.

  • There is no reason why people are starving today in America.  In the small community I am now living in Southern
Colorado many are living off the government and all have EBT Cards and other welfare.  So many are addicted in
throwing their money away in buying state lottery tickets in which a very few win anything. They got the
addiction and go back again and again.  I heard that a recent US Supreme Court decision that this all is OK
that Government welfare money that comes from  the taxpayers can be spent in gambling.
Their are people two weeks for they get their next check from the government are begging for food.  Their
is a protestant sect that gives away donated foods that did not sell and are are past there expiration date on
the last Tuesday of the month.

That was the conclusion reached by Olson in a June 06 report, who docuмented that 43 percent of taxpayers assigned to PCAs via the IRS had an income lower than their allowable living expenses.

I wonder if this is the statistic that morphed into 43% of ALL US household being unable to afford basics, as posted in the OP.
