16M took place yesterday in Dublin. They were disappointed with numbers. About 150 people turned up. I wasn't able to attend myself. It was organised by non political party, non Trade Union type people.
In Ireland only conservative Opus Dei type Catholics are propping up the system. Pro-Capitalist, Pro Fat Cat Catholics.A system that is crumbling though.
Whilst 16M was not organised as a Catholic event, I would have more admiration for them for taking the initiative. I'm not a believer in marches or elections myself.
16M demonstrates people are moving away from the old gang politics of FF/FG/Lab/SF.
The alternative is being built up. Earlier in the day several hundred people attended a meeting opposing the property tax.
A new Ireland is being built as the axe is being taken to the twin evils of Capitalism and Socialism.
