  • I was interviewed for a job with a Ross Store near where
I lived. During the interview, I was told that they very
seldom have any one apply that is over the age of 30.
That statement was supposed to tell me something,
because I am a twice that age, and a few years.

  • Rc, they would have gotten a better deal and their money's worth if they had hired you.  The young people move like snails, are lazy as anything, and expect to get paid for doing nothing.   In every store I go into, it is always the same.  They walk around like zombies and, if you ask them for any help, it is an imposition on them.    And if you don't give them the rote answers they are expecting to their meaningless "friendly" questions that are supposed to make you feel all so warm and fuzzy, it really throws them into a state of apoplexy.
