What do Cathinfo members think?

  • No one on CathInfo really thinks the earth is a globe. Everybody know that the horizon is horizontal.
I would like to test this claim.
Most sweet Jesus, whose overflowing charity for men is requited by so much forgetfulness, negligence and contempt, behold us prostrate before you, eager to repair by a special act of homage the cruel indifference and injuries to which your loving Heart is

  • So far 7 people here have voted pro-ball earth, only admitting then that they have not objectively studied the Flat Earth. Because the fact of the matter is that once someone starts to look into the Globe Deception with an open mind, and then finds out the truth about the Flat Plane, there is no going back.
(Unless of course they are a dishonest person and of course there are plenty of those.)

I’m sorry if this topic makes you so uncomfortable Jayne, but the facts against the fictional spinning, wobbling ball in endless space are too difficult to ignore. It really is over for the fake globe and soon we will all know the truth anyways so might be good idea to start studying for a change. You’ve got a long way to go but there’s always hope!   :jumping2:

  • By the way I didn’t vote which I’m sure most won’t because this is a silly poll anyways. What does it matter what people *think*?

    The truth is,

    The Earth is Flat

  • Don't hold your breath!    :laugh1:

All the flat-earthers have to do is address each point in turn. But they won't because they can't.
    .
    Why can't they?
    .
    Because:
    .
There never has been and there never will be any depiction of a Theodolite shooting a level line of sight from a promontory of even a few hundred feet toward the horizon which shows the horizon "rising to the level of the viewer" as flat-earthers keep chanting without any evidence.
    .
There never has been and there never will be an intelligible explanation for why the full moon faces with its sun-illuminated face toward the earth from high in the sky, from the flat-earth hypothesis which places the sun above a "flat" disc earth at nearly 90 degrees to the line of the moon's light as viewed from anywhere on planet earth.
    .
There never has been and there never will be any "flat" earth plausible geometry describing how a quarter moon makes the angle it does to the sun (while insisting it and the moon are some 3 thousand miles above the earth) twice each month for all to see.
    .
There never has been and there never will be any reasonable excuse for the fact that a ship or plane traveling due east (or due west) along the equator does not have to turn right (starboard) or left (port) in order to remain on the equator and due east (or west as the case may be).
    .
There never has been and there never will be any "flat" earth demonstration of WHY two parallel courses once embarked will in due time collide with each other on the real earth, since they don't do that on the "flat" earth model.
    .
There never has been and there never will be any reasonable "flat" earth explanation for how any weighted object in a vacuum will consistently be pulled in a perpendicular direction from the horizon line regardless of where on the real earth the experiment is conducted.
    .
There never has been and there never will be an explanation for the numerous flights of aircraft that pass over or close to Antarctica and traverse a distance too short to be plotted on a "flat" earth model, when many pilots, co-pilots and navigators who routinely fly such courses have and will continue to attest.
    .
There never has been and there never will be any honest video showing the horizon unable to conceal distant objects beyond the curvature of the earth, even while the refraction of light through the water vapor above a body of water makes it appear otherwise, since the progressive foreshortening of such objects belies the distortion caused by the refraction.
    .
There never has been and there never will be a seagoing navigator using a sextant and sea charts who can accurately plot his course over a great distance overseas, when he presumes the earth is "flat."
    .
The recent total lunar eclipse of January 31st, 2018 was a striking proof of the curvature of the earth's horizon because of the curved shadow the earth cast upon the moon for all to see (all who have eyes to see that is).
    .
From Los Angeles the view was most advantageous, with clear skies and almost complete coverage, from beginning to nearly the end.
    .
We could see the penumbra starting to cover the moon, then the umbra of Earth's shadow leaving a dark CURVED shadow moving over the moon.
    .
As it progressed and completely covered the moon, the dark shadow turned copper-colored (not blood red) and against the totally black sky its reduced intensity was able to carry the color very well.
    .
They say "blood moon" because it sounds dramatic, I guess, more than "copper moon" would sound.
    .
And anyone looking for the moon turning blue doesn't know that a "blue moon" just means you're getting two full moons in one month. January had two, and February has none this year.
    .
I can go on. The list can grow a LOT longer............
    .

Exactly.  One cannot explain away the globe as representing the firmament, as flat-earthers like to do, because Our Lady herself to us that it represented the world.  And it is not a translation issue because in French it is "Ce globe que vous voyez représente le monde entier, particulièrement la France et chaque personne en particulier." That means "this globe represents the whole world, especially France and each individual person."

If believing the world is a globe is as evil as the flat-earthers tell us it is, why would the Church approve an apparition that would lead everyone to believe that the world is a globe and why would God grant so many miracles through the miraculous medal?  At the very least, this shows us that there is nothing wrong with believing the world is a globe.

The globe of creation is the globe firmament which surrounds the flat earth.

Even if this were so, the words of Our Lady sound like she said the earth is a globe. That is how most people would understand it. Why would a loving mother say something to confuse her children into believing something evil?

It's so hard to take you Dogmatic Flatearthists seriously.
    .
It's getting to look like flat-earthers don't WANT to be taken seriously.
    .
    Maybe it's a psychological disorder, "Flat-earthosis" ...

MyrnaM, MyrnaM, MyrnaM, haven't you heard?!
    .
The way Our Lady appeared was probably with a frisbee or a discus or a pizza pie Earth but the "globalists" got a-hold of the story and suppressed the truth, so now all we have is the fabricated "globalist" version. It's a conspiracy!!

    .
The worldwide "globalist" conspiracy is so powerful that not even our Blessed Mother is able to overcome it!
    .
She is the Destroyer of All Heresies -- all except the worldwide anti-flat-earthism-conspiracy one.
    .
So now flat-earthers are picking up where Our Lady is somehow powerless to defend her own world's faithful!!
    .
This should be headline news! (But who would read it?)
