And what has the Church told us about the shape of the Earth? Please quote it. Nobody ever does. I keep asking but nothing. Listening to the Church implies that the Church has said something about the shape. Where is it?
I don't want the teaching about the Scriptures from Trent because that implies that the Sacred Scriptures say explicitly what the shape of the Earth is. They do not.
It does not say explicitly. But neither does scripture say Our Lady was Immaculately conceived. The conclusion comes not only from scripture, but from notable saints like St. John Chrysostom, St. Jerome, Moses, Enoch, Severanius, Cosmas, St. Augustine as well as from the Church's condemnation of heliocentrism. Not to mention the trajectory and source of the accepted pagan model which is anarchy. It then becomes clear with infallible teachings like Jerusalem being the center of the earth and that there are no antipodes, along with a reasonable, literal interpretation of scripture along with science and reason, that earth is flat.
