  • Seems that you and Neil like to pretend that males are girls. Thanks for the confirm. I hope that everyone else, esp. the site owners, considers what is written here very carefully, and what it implies.

  • Hey Dizzy (I mean DZ). It seems as if you've been spinning on your ball earth a little to long. Non-Catholics such as yourself always have priority. The problem is that none of you want to listen. You would rather play with your triage crayons, yeah?
Haha, Looks like Lastdays gave you a burn too...

For Dizzy and Neil to treat males as if they girls can only mean one thing, which the Church defines as "intrinsically disordered." It explains a few things.
"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

  • The globers here have been given multiple Catholic sources to at the very least consider the assertion that earth is flat.  They never have.  They continue to mock and disparage, but that alone shows they are married firmly to modern science and refuse to listen to the Church.

  • And what has the Church told us about the shape of the Earth? Please quote it. Nobody ever does. I keep asking but nothing. Listening to the Church implies that the Church has said something about the shape. Where is it?
I don't want the teaching about the Scriptures from Trent because that implies that the Sacred Scriptures say explicitly what the shape of the Earth is. They do not.
It does not say explicitly.  But neither does scripture say Our Lady was Immaculately conceived.  The conclusion comes not only from scripture, but from notable saints like St. John Chrysostom, St. Jerome, Moses, Enoch, Severanius, Cosmas, St. Augustine as well as from the Church's condemnation of heliocentrism.  Not to mention the trajectory and source of the accepted pagan model which is anarchy.  It then becomes clear with infallible teachings like Jerusalem being the center of the earth and that there are no antipodes, along with a reasonable, literal interpretation of scripture along with science and reason, that earth is flat.

If Augustine were the only Catholic flat earther, you would have a case.

    second that...

Will also add, the emphasis on the EARTH as in the ground is a new one. Creation was always understood as a whole.
Eclipses neither prove nor disprove the flat earth.

    God help you.
It's comments such as that which further evidence at least one of two things:
    1. They're dumb as dog droppings.
    2. They're pernicious liars. Why this? When they can play "scripture twister" with the "best" of (other?) Protestants all day long, demonstrating  incredible levels of eisegetics, making scripture say what they bloody well want it to...

... but see/acknowledging the actual principle and intent of a papal condemnation?

No, you get the kind of DIABOLIC drivel from the likes of crappinhigh.

Lady, you're a real peace of work.

We believe that we are pleasing God when we defend His creation.

  • Prots play with similar erector sets and build similar "conclusions."

    Note:

Doesn't someone speaking with the full authority of the Magisterium say that somewhere . . . yeah . . . hold on . . . I'll come back if you don't get it before then.

Perhaps you can come back and show me where someone speaking similarly with Church authority said, "flat earth."

Trying to compare us to protestants is going to fail. We have science, scripture and tradition with us. You have none of them.

They didn't say "flat earth" because that was not the way they looked at it. It was not the most important aspect of creation.
Eclipses neither prove nor disprove the flat earth.
