What a pile of fakery this video is. It's full of false statements! (Except the 3 near the end!)

We don't have access to the sophisticated equipment that the NASA elite have, therefore we are not able to make adequate measurements of the sun and moon. --- Not true.

We don't need fancy equipment to take adequate measurements, such as the angle between the moon and sun at the hour of a quarter moon. The measurement is between 89 degrees and 90 degrees, which is close enough to know that the distance from earth to sun is hundreds of times greater than it is from earth to moon.

Compasses don't work on a globe. --- False.

Gyroscopes don't work on a globe. --- False.
.
Sundials don't work on a globe. --- False.
.
Plane sailing doesn't work on a globe. --- False.

Lighthouses don't work on a globe. --- False.

Periscopes don't work on a globe. --- False.

The horizon never rises anywhere, but rather the horizon stays right where it is.
The viewer has to turn his line of sight down to meet the horizon as he moves to a higher vantage point.

Sungenis then blankets his readers with three statements:

PART 2

I'm not anywhere close to being a scientist/astronomer, nor do I have the capability or interest in studying it, but i've met Robert Sungenis in person and talked to him about all sorts of topics, both science and non-science.  He's extremely down to earth and seems like a rational, level-headed guy.  I'm not saying his reasons support or fail-to-support flat earth, all i'm saying is he seems like he's a good catholic.  Whatever that's worth.

Anyone who has met him or his associate Rick DeLano can attest that they certainly harbor no ill-will or malignant pretense.

One thing's for sure, they are climbing a steep obstacle course, and they should be given credit for persistence.

Their qualifications shouldn't be in question, either, but some dare to try anyway.

I do think it's a possibility the earth is flat, like the picture shown above, with the angels at each corner.  I have no scientific claims as to why, I just imagine that the 'elite' have been lying to us for centuries, just like they have with everything else.  The fact that most pre-Christ civilizations believed the earth was flat, the same civilizations whose science and engineering was based on astronomy, leads me to believe that they knew what they were talking about.

But I will say that most of the videos I've watched which try to 'prove' flat earth are confusing and shallow.  And most of the arguments on this board do not prove it either.

Good call.  Investigating for the reason above is a wisdom based on Catholic sense.  While I agree many flat earth videos are confusing or really don't prove what they claim, I think the arguments here will become far more compelling as you continue to delve into the subject.

The "California beach one" is so bad it's ridiculous (shot near Santa Barbara showing Channel Islands).
They've got their elevations all wrong and they try to cut out parts of shots to make them appear other than they really did.

I have already gone through the whole thing pointing out the errors and deceptions.

But that's very typical of flat-earther videos, they deliberately deceive the unwary and uninformed viewers.

The list of examples is nearly endless.

Videos shot during the total solar eclipse of last August for example, had flat-earthers saying, "There's no moon in the sky! NASA is LYING to us!"
That was during a new moon when you never can see the moon (without special filters) due to ambient haze in the daytime sky, just like you can't see any stars in the sky during the daytime (except the star that is our own sun because it's so much closer to us than the other stars in the sky).
