Selbrede runs the Chalcedon Foundation, a Presbyterian-founded thinktank that calls itself "neo-Puritan. "

They have deep pockets having been financed by a couple of billionaires.

Perhaps the Protestant Selbrede's Chalceon Foundation was the source of DeLano and Sungenis's funding for The Principle?

They have some very strange, non-Catholic bedfellows.

“Simply put, ‘The Principle’ is not a film designed to convince anyone that geocentrism is necessarily shown to be true "
Then what is The Principle designed to convince people of, if not geocentrism??

Have Delano and Sungenis made enemies through dishonest practices?  Most of the cast of their movie are angry with them for misrepresenting what they were doing.
Popular Science Article on The Principle shows that Mr S and Mr D might not be sure what they represent.

"The film is not about geocentrism," DeLano told me flatly. Rather, it's about the Copernican principle -- Copernicus's idea that the Earth doesn't occupy a cosmically special place in the universe. DeLano then took me on a circuitous talk -- through dark matter, through Galileo, through the cosmic microwave background -- before landing on his thesis: "The fact of the matter is we don't know whether the universe has a center," he said, "but we can obseeeeeeeerve through a telescope that there is a center and guess who's sitting at the center of it -- us." His favorite phrase, employed whenever I failed to understand or follow, was, "Do your homework."

Rick DeLano is a nasty personality, that treats all who object with vitriol & scorn. It's good the article pointed it out.

He sank his own movie by lying and getting Kate Mulgrew and the rest under false pretenses.
