Title: roscoe and MJ use
Post by: roscoe on December 26, 2021, 07:11:02 PM
While we're warning people, there are a LOT of new members who don't know much about "roscoe".

He is member #184. He joined in January of 2008 (that's not a typo!)
The latest member to join is #7552.

He likes to partake, he likes certain herbs...      ...HE SMOKES POT, OK?

If I'm not mistaken he's from California. He also spells his screen name in _all lowercase_ like e.e. cuмmings.

So take his views with the skepticism that you would have when hearing the philosophies and opinions of any pot smoker...
I would like to remind everyone that Admin has removed the wine drinking Emoticon from this Catholic Forum and NO Catholic Authority has ever been cited condemning Mary Juanita...

It's a general principle that drug use resulting in partial loss of the use of reason, without a sufficient reason, is a venial sin.
Drug use resulting in full loss of use of reason, without a sufficient reason, would be a mortal sin.

That includes MJ as well as alcohol.

Ok, since this thread got COMPLETELY derailed, I split off the last 7 pages, which are all about MJ use by Catholics, the licitness and morality thereof, into its own thread.

https://www.cathinfo.com/the-earth-god-made-flat-earth-geocentrism/marijuana-use-sinful-for-catholics/

There will be NO further discussion of MJ in this thread. Any other posts by that topic in this thread will be unceremoniously deleted -- not even moved.

Thank you.

As Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) used to say about his carry of a whisky flask…

“It’s strictly for medicinal purposes.”
