    No.

    Raindrops would have to be little prisms instead of being more sphere shaped for rainbows to be like such flags. Maybe some more conditions would have to be met (size, alignment, ... ).

    • Seriously, however, I'm guessing that rainbows came about a result of how the earth changed after the flood.

    Whatever causes rainbows was not in play before the flood, so that could be a clue about what conditions were like before.

    I recall reading in Fr. Seraphim Rose's book, "Genesis, Creation, and Early Man" as well as Fr. Warkulwiz's "The Doctrines of Genesis 1-11" that it is believed that there was no rain before the Flood. Therefore, there wouldn't be sufficient water vapor in the air to allow for a rainbow to form until after that fact, which is precisely what Noah and his kin see when the rains cease and God makes His promise to them (Genesis 9:13-15).

    • Interesting debate lads. According to genesis the rainbow was created by God after the flood. I bet the Big Bang evolutionists have given the world a natural explanation of a rainbow, with no need for a creation by God.

    Another point about the rainbow. It came about, according to the Bible, after God flooded the Earth with water because of man's sins. Yet, the ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs actually use it as their emblem. I wonder if it were put out that their emblem was Biblical, in that it came about because of the sin of sodomy etc., and that therefore the rainbow is part of god's plan.
