Title: Miraculous Medal "Globe"
Post by: DogmaBrah on May 04, 2022, 08:34:01 AM
I was recently reading about Our Lady of Fatima's apparition including a necklace with a "globe of light." This reminded me of the globe that the Blessed Virgin appeared standing on in the apparitions for the Miraculous Medal at Rue du Bac. I came across a good article and video in the past that described the Miraculous Medal globe in terms of Biblical/Hebrew cosmology including all of creation, the face of the earth, and the firmament. Has anyone else seen this? I can't seem to find the article or video on YouTube or Google any longer. Thanks!

The questionable Da Vinci painting that was recently "found" a few years back, Salvatore Mundi, has Christ holding a what appears to be a crystal ball in His left hand.
That was one of the reasons I felt it was a forgery. I don't know the significance of it- is it a globe, is it occultic? What does it represent? The crystal globe is completely clear- no reference to the earth in any way. I don't think even Da Vinci would put a crystal ball in Christ's hand. (At least I hope not)

As far as the globe in Rue de Bac, I never heard it referred to that way, but I would be very curious to know more.

I also think the Salvatore Mundi painting has Christ in a feminine neckline, and also almost alludes to a female chest.

Note the statue of the Child of Prague holding a global Earth with the Cross on top of it. Globus Crucriger has long represented the Christian God’s reign over the Earth. Further devotion to the image began in 1556 when Maria Manriquez de Lara took the statue of infant Jesus to Czechoslovakia from Spain. It is now in the church of Our Lady of Victory in Prague, an object of veneration.’

Then there is the Miraculous Medal. Its design was given to St Catherine Labouré by the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rue du Bac Paris in 1830. In her medal the Virgin stands upon Satan the snake atop a section of a globe, representing the entire world. Now our world is centred on the Earth, a globe from which Our Lady ascended into heaven and on which Mary will crush the head of the snake. Then there is the global moon, which is also associated with the Virgin Mary, reflecting as it does the light of the sun, just as Mary reflects the light of her Son on those Christians with faith.

Well, the second image of the Hebrew cosmology is what I myself adhere to as the mean between the globe earth and flat earth. Therefore, in regard to the Miraculous Medal, the statement that she stands on a globe still fits with the Biblical cosmology.

Yeah, no, the globus cruciger is NOT an occult symbol. It can be found in countless Catholic images which depict Christ's sovereignty.

Another image I found of the globus cruciger that goes against the notion that it purely represents a globe earth. Note the concentric circles representing the planets around the center, where the earth is, noted by what I think is the face of the painter

I thought this was interesting to find on the Westminster Abbey website. Not sure how to find out the artist though

Great find Miser!

I thought this was funny when looking up the sign for earth…

Show the earth on its axis. The non-dominant hand represents the axis.  The dominant hand represents the earth.

No offense intended to Our Lord, but what an ugly picture!  At first glance I thought it was an ugly woman.  Why does He look like a manly woman or womanly man?!

Probably because the Church was infiltrated during the Renaissance by Gnostics, Hermeticists and Alchemists who promoted transgenderism.

Da Vinci was also purported to be a closeted fαɢɢօt too.
