NOTE: the seminar is not about the errors of Fr. Robinson, or about Kolbe Center vs. the SSPX. However, if Fr. Robinson or anyone else holds onto any errors that will be brought up during the seminar, then yes those errors will be discussed.
Title: “Creation, Evolution and the Crisis of Faith”
Theme: The Traditional Catholic Doctrine of Creation and the Judgment of Philosophy and Natural Science on the Theory of Evolution
A Seminar Sponsored by the Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation
Presenter: Hugh Owen, Director of the Kolbe Center, Dr. Thomas Seiler, Ph.D. in physics and Pamela Aker, Biologist
Unfortunately, Fr. Robinson has repeatedly doubled down in his errors concerning creation and evolution (which serve -- whether knowingly or unknowingly -- to undermine the Faith) ever since the publication of his book
The Realist Guide to Religion and Science. His widely expressed public views concerning creation and evolution are in radical opposition to those held by the Kolbe Center and indeed the differences between these two set of views are expressly highlighted on the Kolbe Center's very own website.
I realize that the Kolbe Center is not bringing its seminar to St. Marys for the purpose of provoking a fight, but it is bringing a sword with it -- the sword of truth, the sword of division. May that it use it well to expose and cut down error -- grievous error!
