    • Between metaphysics and physics the relation and the problem of expressing correctly the relation to the infinite and infinity is the same. There is the question of sides and edges and all the swqrap (an acronym for ontological categories) and the coincidence of cause and effect. You could say anything is as well related to the infinite as anything else, because in the specific case of infinite difference, it's always the same difference. Yet there is still the question of proportion and best relation among things, like time and space, which between the Earth and the rest of the cosmos turns out to be a sphere.

    • Ok, so we have discovered a lot in this forum.  We know that you can't see or measure curvature to prove earth is a globe.  We know water surface doesn't curve except on the imaginary globe.  We know the globe promoting NASA has repeatedly lied and faked graphics of the globe as well as cosmic exploration.  We know there are no videos of the globe let alone a rotating globe.  We know that elites who are destroying our world go along with the idea that earth is a globe and even call themselves globalists. We know the Internet is continually scrubbed of flat earth information. We know historical scientists promoted throughout the centuries never actually proved earth is a globe.  We know the Church condemned heliocentrism and it's globe. We know the Fathers of the Church were flat earthers.  And now we know that flat earth isn't a particularly rare belief, nor without scientific support, nor totally without credibility since millions of people across the plane also know earth is not a globe.  What we don't know is, why would anyone who is shown the truth continue to believe earth is a globe?

    • Eh, I'm not sure how seriously I would take this claim without corroboration from a reliable source. The article is a leftist attack on the Brazilian population for electing Bolsonaro. He's attacking, as he puts it, "a country currently swept up in the post-truth era and the anti-intellectual, climate-change-skeptic worldview embodied by far-right President Jair Bolsonaro." For lefties, calling someone a flat earther is an insult, so I'd want to know there is actual proof this claim is true to begin with before I started to draw any conclusions from it.

    The preponderance of evidence proves earth is not a globe, especially since there is no reliable evidence to the contrary.

    • This newspaper and its auxiliary "polling firm", Datafolha, are not to be taken seriously.

    I had never heard about the "Convex Earth" people until you, Ladislaus, posted about them, as I have never heard about anyone that even considers Flat Earth a possibility.

    11 Million is almost 0,5% of Brazil's population. I highly doubt these figures.
