Oh brother.  As if other cultures and religions have access to zero truth or reality?  At least the Muslims didn't turn against their own tradition.  These people are a sure sign that the history of man includes knowledge and belief in a flat earth.

You have a double standard.  You have condemned globe-earthers for sharing beliefs with non-Catholics, like pagans and secular humanists.  You have used it as evidence that we were wrong and did not care about being Catholic.

So, if I say that believing in flat earth does not make you a Muslim, will you admit that my belief in a spherical earth does not make me a pagan or a secular humanist?

You hit the nail and you are so right, which is why no one should take these people seriously.
The fact that they spend so much of their time promoting the flat earth should tell you where their heart is.
Nothing but One Worlders here promoting the One World Order with the One World Religion.

Come on, Myrna.  They aren't One Worlders and they probably even mean well.  I suspect that one factor is that they are reacting against scientism which really is an evil belief.  It's an abuse of science which puts it in the place of God.

Let's not judge their hearts or make things up about them.  We can just stick to facts.

You can keep saying that, and flat earth will keep spreading all the more. Because it is the truth. And you can never stop it.

You mean the fact of a spinning earth that you never feel? Or Curvature that you never see?

Given my size relative to the earth, I would not expect see the curvature.  Given that I am moving at the same rate as the earth at a constant speed, I would not expect to feel the spin.

All one needs to do is reason through how basic principles of physics apply.

You clearly put a lot of trust in modern science then. How old do think the earth is? be honest.

The age of the earth is a question that involves more than basic principles of physics.  It requires trusting the results of radiometric dating.  I would need to do a bunch of research to find out how reliable that is before I could answer.

Maybe Mr. Garrison can buy some man-pants there for when she's teaching her class on evolution.

Oh, wait, the teacher teaching evolution is transgender.

Oh dear, this is so awkward.
You'r not much of a man yourself, cad. Taking cheap shots at a woman like that? 'Round here you wouldn't find any respect for you. And you would do well to watch your mouth, fir fear of not having one afterwards. 😉

I had not heard of Mr. Garrison until Smedley started calling me that.  I did some research and found out this is a character on a TV show called "South Park" which is notorious for being offensive to Catholics (among others).

It is hard to imagine a traditional Catholic would, not only watch this show, but reveal he watches it to other Catholics.  Wouldn't a Catholic be ashamed of watching a blasphemous TV show?

I have thought for some time that the level of dishonesty and ignorance displayed in Smedley's posts was suspicious.  It is more what I would expect from someone trying to make Catholics look bad than an actual Catholic. Would a person who believes that lying is a sin write the way that he does? His familiarity with this Mr. Garrison character is further evidence that this is not a genuine poster.

I don't watch South park, who would?
However, South Park's parody of the absurdity of the theory of evolution is widely used on the internet.

You must have missed that I posted it originally on your thread on transgenderism.

It was an exceptionally low blow for you to smear fellow Catholics who believe in flat earth to say they support transgenderism.

Therefore, your nickname was well earned.  That and the fact you admit teaching your kids evolution.

I realized Smedley was not of our Faith when I read his post # 2 where he/she (whatever, doesn't seem to know his/her sex) anyway he/she voiced this "You globalists said the church does not intend to teach science or the nature of things, but here your commentary says earth moves 58k MPH, while simultaneously contradicting the passages saying earth does not move. No wonder you can't think straight."
Since the quote was taken from a Catholic source his/her use of the word YOUR tells us he/she is not one of us.

From an eagle's eye view, a mile up, seems like a curve to me.
You often hear the term the "eye of an eagle" ... this proves it's true!

An eagle’s flight from the top of the world’s tallest building to his handler below.  The eagle was fitted with a camera then released from the top of the 2, 715 foot Burj Khalifa tower in Dubai.  The eagle has no idea where the tiny speck of land was that his handler is standing on or what it looked like among all of the other lands and buildings and people.  Some how from that altitude, the eagle actually picks out and recognizes the trainer from all of the other objects, people, etc.  You can see him looking, looking, looking for the trainer, completely invisible to a human eye and the camera, then folds his/her wings and then drops like a bullet straight to the trainer..very cool.  What surprised the experts is not only how efficiently the eagle spots his trainer from that altitude, but how smooth its flight is with no camera shake what so ever, even when it goes into a power dive.    Enjoy

And Mr. Garrison gets her knickers in a twist at being mocked for her evolution belief.

You globetards love to dish it out, but you sure can't take it.

This is especially convincing because it was not made to prove the earth is a globe.  The evidence just happened to be in the background in a video about something entirely different.

Thanks for once again reliably demonstrating your stupidity: you just showed us all you have no knowledge of GoPro cameras and the distortion they cause.
In your video, the horizon line bends back and forth in ever tighter curves with the movement of the camera.
In one shot, nearly 360! Who knew the whole globe was only the size of Dubai.

It is quite true that I know very little about cameras and have no idea how much of the appearance of curvature in that video was caused by distortion.  I have mentioned before that I am not competent to discuss the science aspects of the flat earth discussion in any detail.

And yet Mr Garrison looks at this image taken from the video of a 180 degree arch and says "this seems especially convincing..."
