Title: Galileo Docuмent Proven Fake
Post by: Ladislaus on August 21, 2022, 10:15:49 AM: So I've heard FEs argue that Galileo could not have spotted the moons of Jupiter as Galileo lore/myth has held, because the strongest telescopes available at the time could have not have seen.

Turns out they were right. This docuмent where Galileo allegedly made this observation has been proven to be a 20th-century fake.

So, if you recall, St. Robert Bellarmine rejected Galileo's theory because he said that Galileo had provided no actual proof. So someone invented this docuмent in order to create the false impression that Bellarmine was wrong and that Galileo DID have proof (based on these alleged moons of Jupiter).

I have been reeling the past few weeks at the truth of this. Everything we are dealing with now started with the destruction of a Christian cosmology. Even the idea of there being other planets like earth and the earth being a "star" like them was condemned as heresy in the Giordano Bruno case.
