2). Yet another (in a long list of examples) where the “see too far” / no-curvature problem is on display, with calculations, and he has no response.
I’ve yet to see him debate specific examples like this. Where is the curvature? Why is this such a difficult thing to answer
I keep giving them the only quasi-plausible response, and yet for whatever reason they never go there.
Go ahead and argue refraction, and then we could debate that back and forth, but the cloud hypothesis is utterly absurd, for the reasons explained above, and the mathematical equation is clear, and not contested by the Globers.
So that eliminates all but the following:
1) earth is a globe but much bigger than we're told
2) refraction
3) some other possibly-as-yet-unknown force causing light to bend around the contours of the globe
Generally the response has been #2.
But, for whatever reason, they just don't even seem to go there.
