Lost in history on Twitter: "How the ancient Greeks knew the Earth was round. All you need is sticks, eyes, feet and brains. https://t.co/J7RRT5Sit0" / Twitter
the most amazing is not even this the most amazing is that they accepted the result, without knowing how earth could be round They just trusted their tools, their maths, and they succeed to understand unbelievable things

If any one saith that true and natural water is not of necessity for baptism, and on that account wrests to some sort of metaphor those words of Our Lord Jesus Christ, "Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost...,"  Let Him Be Anathama.  -COUNCIL OF TRENT Sess VII Canon II “On Baptism"

  • Yeah, the Eratosthenes story is nonsense.  Not only is the basis for it flimsy (without any evidence or docuмentation that it even happened, but the entire experiment has to assume a sun that's very far away (millions of miles).  If the sun is smaller and closer, then it could would produce the same effect.

Yeah, I miss Skiba.  It's a shame that he didn't become Catholic before he died ... allegedly from COVID, but I don't know all the details.

  • Unless they looked into the discussion, who would believe the Pope isn't Catholic? Or that a frightful percentage of priests and bishops are pedos/satanists? Or that governments construct intricate lies about many things like global warming? Or realize that people in power want most of the population dead? Useful idiots always decry opposition to the narrative before looking into it and say stupid things to support what they think they know.  Thinking people look into an argument and understand both sides before opening their mouths. And even then, they don't mock or scoff, they ask pertinent questions to be sure they are getting all the information they need to find the truth.  Somehow, the proper approach is rarely employed when it comes to flat earth.
