    The earth indeed does appear to be flat. And we do not fall off it. Which at first glance makes it feel like the earth is flat.

    But, then there are the other heavenly bodies around us that are round such as the moon and the sun. What are the chances that this Earth is round too?

    Then again there is something called gravity. There is something that returns the apple to the ground after you throw it in the air. And if the earth was round then that explains why we don't fall of it. Because gravity keeps us there. Unless we defy it.

    The Ancient Greeks guessed the earth was round, so it's not a new concept. And they believed in the force of nature which kept us on the ground.

    The descriptions of the Bible do not contradict this. It is written from the perspective of a man staring out into the heavens and conveying the mystical cosmos. The firmament is the expanse or the atmosphere.

    Neither does heliocentrism contradict the Bible. We live in a Solar System with the Sun at its center. Again, the Ancient Greeks guessed this.  The descriptions in the Bible are from the perspective of man living on earth, rather than the geometrical center.

    If Almighty God had intended Holy Scripture to be a series of scientific treatises it would not be the highly engaging work it is. But Providence made a masterpiece that speaks to all men from all walks of life.

    The Bible states repeatedly that the earth is not moving and that is in contradiction to modern cosmology where the earth is said to be spinning endlessly through an endlessly moving universe.  Many tests have been performed and repeated which show the earth is not moving.  The 'axis of evil' based on the CMB map indicate that the earth occupies what is pretty much dead center of the universe.  I'm not sure about it being flat but it definitely is not moving.

    • So, they go to all this trouble ... why didn't they just set up a bi-directional laser, in other words, laser on each end, camera on each end, relatively close to one another, at the same height above the ice.  That would definitely rule out refraction, since you can't refract down in opposite directions.  Refraction requires an increasing density gradient, and so if it's increasing in one direction, it's decreasing in the other.

    But, wait ... Dr. John D did perform such an experiment, and definitely proved the flatness of the earth, ruling out refraction.

    1) there's no proof that the "other heavily bodies" are spherical
    2) that statement begs the question that the earth is a heavenly body by the use of "other" ... which directly contradicts Sacred Scripture, as the earth is NOT a heavenly body as described by Genesis
    3) logical fallacy ... like looking up and seeing a lightbulb hanging from the ceiling and concluding that the ground is curved

    You have already assumed the NASA "solar system" paradigm with your "reasoning", i.e. you're begging the question ... and so this argument fails.

    2) even physicists refer to gravity as a "theory" and it's never been directly measured, just postulated, with new theories indicating that it's not a property of mass but a bend in space-time (Einstine) or just an expression of thermodynamics
    3) density differences suffice to explain such dynamics, and somehow magically overcome "gravity" when we get into water (the oceans)
    4) gravity was only invented in order to explain the invented (by atheists and Masons) "solar system mode" that every kid is forced to replicate in first grade with styrofoam balls

    Nor does this argument prove the earth is a globe, just maintaining that "gravity" prevents the falsification of the globe earth (since it could explain why people don't fall off the bottom).

    Nearly ALL the ancient cultures held that the earth is flat, and Sacred Scripture also strongly supports flatness.  It was in fact one of the occultic Greeks, Pythagoras, who invented globe theory ... but it was NOT widely accepted until the time of Newton, despite lies to the contrary.  When so many ancient cultures have so similar a cosmology, that suggests "primitive revelation", i.e. that this was handed down from Adam's perfect knowledge of creation.

    Nobody had an explanation for some "force of nature" that kept antipodal people "on the ground", and thus rejected the existence of things on the bottom of the globe.

    Both the Holy Office and St. Robert Bellarmine held and declared (with full papal approbation) that heliocentrism contradits the Bible ... condemning it as heretical.  Of course, you're behind the times of your science agenda, since nobody today believes in heliocentrism.  More heresy about the Bible also.

    Finished off with some more Modernist heresy.  While the primary subject of Sacred Scripture is not science, it is nevertheless inerrant where it comes to science, as clearly taught by St. Robert Bellarmine, so that heliocentrism is heretical because it impugns the inerrant divine authorship of Sacred Scripture.

    Finally, nowhere in your heretical bloviations have you addressed the contention of the video, that simple empirical measurements, aka backbone of the scientific method, falsify the globe, where objects can consistently be seen that should be hidden sometimes by MILES of alleged earth curvature.  I've never seen people bloviate so much about "trust the science" than the globers and yet at the same time absolutely refuse to actually apply the scientific method, instead imposing their own ideological agenda.

    It's quite simple.  If globe math says that after so far a distance an object that's a certain height should no longer be visible due to disappearing over the curve, if we find object after object that is visible for many miles beyond that which the globe math should allow, then the globe hypothesis has been falsified, and it's time to come up with another.  But when empirical evidence falsifies a hypothesis, the globers, while pretending to follow the science, refuse to discard the falsified hypothesis ... instead clinging to it with white knuckles and making things up to try saving it.  In fact, even Michio Kaku admits that there's never been such a mismatch between theory and empirical evidence in the history of science as there is in modern cosmology, creating a "crisis in cosmology" ... and yet they refuse to let go of it, desperately grasping at straws by making stuff up -- and it's all because they hate God and refuse to believe in him, mostly because they want to carry on with their perversions.
